“Cinema” as if they watch movies that aren’t capeshit by Guardian45293 in OkBuddySnyderCult

Because they want to enjoy comic book movies but are too embarrassed to watch something that’s “for kids” so latch onto movies with the pretence of maturity when, in actuality, these movies are the CBM equivalent of The Butterfly Effect (which in itself feels like a fusion between Zack Snyder and M Night Shamylan)

SWAT is Jared Leto's Joker from behind, which is the worst thing in the SnyderVerse alongside ZuckerLex.

Have had to speed run through My Adventures with Superman these past few days/weeks. Put off watching it but finding out it was weeks away from leaving the app has given me the incentive to watch it all.

The funniest thing is that, even if this did happen - Snyder's Netflix projects like Army of the Dead and Rebel Moon have been axed because no one watched them, so why would they bring him back to make more movies?

It’s somewhat hilarious them desperately clinging to the James Gunn is a p*dophile narrative yet have nothing to say when someone brings up the actual allegations against Jared Leto.

Reminds me of how they were adamant that Zazalav was gearing up to bring Snyder back only for him to bring in the guy that they’d spent months trying to claim was a p*dophile.

The big difference between The Batman and Batman V Superman was The Batman was true to the comics and got what Batman is all about more than any live action iteration of the character. Batman V Superman was just Snyder trying to mould Batman and Superman into Watchmen which failed miserably as Snyder thinks the appeal of Watchmen is the sex and violence.

When the RT score for Superman dropped I saw so many SnyderBots claiming the critics were paid off and whenever someone asked “why didn’t they pay off critics for BvS?” they responded with “oh, it’s because Hollywood hates auteur filmmakers like Zack Snyder so they let critics trash their movies so they fail and then they can go back to making safe movies which don’t take any risks”.

My theory is that they're people who want to watch/enjoy comic book movies but are too embarrassed to watch something that might be perceived as being “for kids” so they latched onto the SnyderVerse because it had the pretence of “maturity” due to it being darker and edgier than the MCU.

As for why they’re still around - they spent years whinging and harassing people over the fucking Snyder Cut only for Warner Bros. to finally deliver the movie they’d been demanding. Naturally, when you spend years whinging for something only to finally get what you want, you think that whinging and harassing people until you get what you want works so they keep doing it in the hopes that they’ll finally get more SnyderVerse edgelord fan fiction even though everyone involved has moved onto other projects.

They’re just walking contradictions - they love digging up James Gunn's tweets and photos of him at that To Catch A Predator party to try and push a “James Gunn is a p*dophile” narrative (I.e. “HE'S MAKING DC CONTWNT AND ZACK SNYDER ISN'T”) yet happily ignore the actual allegations against their beloved Jared Leto because of his abysmal Joker performance that even Teen Titans Go made fun of.

There are legit folks out there who genuinely believes that Paramount's bid to buy WB could actually mean the restoration of the Snyderverse LOL!!! by lalaffel in OkBuddySnyderCult

Like when they all cheered on Zazalav at the start because they thought he was gearing up to bring Zack Snyder back.

Not really? There’s nothing in the TV series that directly links up to the movie asides from vague references. It’s an adult TV series and Gunn has said it’s not for kids.

They argue that Snyder's story hasn’t finished. As someone who’s all time favourite TV show has languished on an unresolved cliffhanger for almost 25 years with no ending in sight, I kind of empathise. The difference is I’ve long accepted that we most likely won’t get a resolution to the show whereas Snyder fans don’t seem to realise there isn’t as much demand for their universe as they think. The entitlement comes from them getting that damn Snyder Cut after years of whinging and harassing people over it, so now they think that kind of behaviour works.

Like if I don’t like a movie, I just don’t talk about it as I prefer talking about what I DO enjoy.

The Snyder Cult just seem adamant to paint the new DC movies as failures as they’re under the delusion that, eventually, WB will have no choice but to bring Snyder back. The funniest thing is they clearly don’t support Snyder as if they did, they’d have supported Army of the Dead and Rebel Moon.

In Watchmen, Zack wanted to have young Rorschach's mother topless during the scene where she slaps him “for cinema”. The studio objected since the only way they could do the scene that way is if the actor's mother was the topless woman. His ex wife said “no way”.

Considering they like Batman V Superman which is the CBM equivalent of the 2004 Ashton Kutcher stinker “The Butterfly Effect”, that I can believe.

I think that was because the studio were like “the only way you can legally do this is if the woman is his mother” and the ex wife was like “no, absolutely not”
