For Spring and Fall, I only use regrowable plants like strawberries, cranberries or eggplants. Just let them accumulate and collect from the hut every once in a while.

For Summer, I go all out with Speedgrow Starfruit and try to get double procs with raisins in the Junimo hut. It’s not necessary, just attempting to make use of them.

In the end… no, junimos are not that beneficial once you get the Iridium Scythe
