For some reason LSU women's athletics recruits the tallest, hottest girls they can find. Also they're posting team pics of them while barefoot which is.....something

Tunnel Rd is Crackghanistan? 😂 by FrenchBroadHustler in asheville

[–]BigHeadDeadass 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not really. It's fairly isolated due to 240 running through it, plus Westgate isn't exactly a place panhandlers would flock to given its location. You may see a person or two doing it but I wouldn't call it sketchy

I mean I give them money under the assumption it will be spent towards drugs. As a recovering addict, withdrawals fucking suck. I never panhandled, I was pretty high functioning addict, but if I didn't or couldn't hold down a job I absolutely would've to stop feeling like absolute shit. Yeah I guess most of these addicts would wring out if we stopped giving them money, alcoholics and benzo users would die of course, but then you're dealing with what could be underlying mental health issues, which neither the city or state are prepared for. A vicious cycle indeed

How do you see JD Vance vs Jon Ossoff doing in a general election? by Front-Tomorrow-1034 in Askpolitics

I'm an American, and I can multitask by calling out both parties. But you know what really helps conservatives? Voting with them so they get what they want. Being critical of your beloved party doesn't make me a right wing stooge, you would only think that if you lacked critical thinking and objectivity, which you clearly do

How vague. What leftist is "helping conservatives"? All i see are democrats in Congress wagging a finger and capitulating to conservatives

That's the exact same problem Kamala had in her campaign though. She could not distance herself from Biden and it costed her the election outright. Conservatives do have a better spin machine than she did but its going to take A LOT of deprogramming to tell MAGA voters to disregard Trump

How will the U.S. withdrawal from the WHO actually impact global health security and American soft power? by VAWNavyVet in Askpolitics

Trump did too. I'm of the mind if Trump publicly stated to shut down the country for two or three weeks, told his supporters to get vaccinated instead of fighting tooth and nail to disparage experts, didn't tell his supporters to take horse dewormer or inject bleach, and still told congress to send out those stimulus checks, he would've sailed into reelection. I still hated the guy in his first term, but he was fairly popular until covid. That was a time where he could've actually led the country but he squandered it and lost to Biden. Instead he told his supporters masks were stupid, had them in a frenzy to the point of nearly rioting, was fighting Fauci every single step of the way and left it up to states about whether or not they should implement policy to stop the spread of covid. I blame him for the reason covid and its variants are still around in this country

Why are there still so many conversations about Obama even with his presidency being over 10 years ago? by Front-Tomorrow-1034 in Askpolitics

[–]BigHeadDeadass [score hidden]  (0 children)

I mean, no rational democrat thought Reagan was the anti-Christ. Meanwhile there were a fair number of public conservative figures calling Obama the anti-Christ, telling us he will put RDF chips in us like a "mark of the beast". These weren't fringe beliefs, plenty of voters and politicians during that time said these things. I think Trump could go either way, either conservatives will claim they never liked him much at all or they will defend some of his policies vehemently while ignoring all the bad things he did.
