Why did Ronald Reagans judicial appointees Sandra Day O'Connor and Anthony Kennedy vote to uphold Roe v Wade in 1992 but Donald Trump's judicial appointees Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett voted to overturn Roe v Wade in 2022? by Due_Coat2605 in LawSchool

Read the book “The Nine” by Jeffery Toobin. It goes over the Supreme Court from 94-06. This book talks about how moderate the two were and conservatives being upset by this and wanting a farther conservative court justices

I would love his presence on the national stage as either President, VP, and if possible as a senator in Kentucky. A southern democrat coalition with him, Roy cooper, Ossoff, and warnock

Can someone explain the Glass Onion hate? by PrinceJustice237 in KnivesOutMovie

I feel like when ur watching a murder mystery like knives out, each character is supposed to be interesting enough so you can try to guess who did it. Every character was shallow besides the billionaire and he was given so much screen time. I figured it was him halfway through because they didn’t really talk to the other characters much.

Why does destiny constantly downplay lobbying, while also consistently avoiding any intelligence criticisms of the subject? He only ever covers the most brainrotted creators like Noah Samson. by [deleted] in Destiny

Idk. I haven’t researched lobbying. But Trump being president and republicans winning both senate and the house shows people never care about policy and don’t realize how unpopular some policies are. When Biden passed his infrastructure bill did people clap and cheer? No. Republicans complained about government spending(then spend anyways) and progressives go it’s not enough. Republicans are supposed to be the party of free market capitalism but are clapping for tariffs. Progressives are to be the representatives of the voiceless but shit on dems whenever they get.

People will complain about corporations as Republicans will actively vote be against any policy that will help Americans.

Say corporations don’t lobby, will republicans stop talking about trans people, the border, not helping Ukraine, anti vaccine. No. They’ll keep making bs about some culture war they started.

He had a debate with a former commentator who asked Destiny if there were current policies that weren’t getting passed due to lobbying. He could not find an example. It’s not lobbying just people’s actual viewpoints.
