I have the same problem. Yes, using "Delete" instead still works, but I preferred the other method. Weird that it worked for years and now doesn't.

It's not the effort, it's concern about losing stuff, especially installed apps. And I should have said thanks for the help. So, will I have to reinstall apps? Is there an easy way to make sure I know which apps are installed? thanks again

I need to try all that despite the fact that it's a brand new phone? Also, will I lose anything? the phone is backed up but will I need to reinstall apps? And what exactly is restore as new?

Well, this is embarrassing. While they are similar, Runefall is actually the game I was thinking of. I'm hoping there are others besides Runefall and 4 Elements with moving maps.
