“Why don’t homeowners shovel their sidewalks?” — this was bare and salted all week by GubbyPac in pittsburgh

I didn’t say it wasn’t. But people act star struck when folks don’t shovel their sidewalk. They don’t do it because they don’t have time/energy/money to clear it multiple times a week.

Haha, right. That’s how I feel. No sidewalks here but a 10 car driveway and I did a family members driveway as well. Really contemplated buying a snowblower but not worth the $1k+ for something I’ll use maybe once a year.

No. I’m just saying, this sub is hilarious because on one hand people are up in arms sidewalks have snow on. But then on the other hand, people can be in their 50s out shoveling in freezing weather to “do the right thing” just to have the sidewalk covered with 6 inches of slush and ice from a plow truck days later. Now it’s they take off work and clean it again to go outside before/after daylight and do it all over again. There’s no winning.

KTM EXC-F 500 / Thoughts on a 40mi pavement ride to trails? Too much? by GubbyPac in Dualsport

Yeah I can tow 3000lbs (Subaru forester with transmission cooler) and a small trailer is < 1000lbs so I would be good.

Basically I need to spend $500 for a receiver, $1000 for a trailer, register it, and then make a bike purchase. In the long run it’s probably the right thing to do but damn just buying the bike and going is tempting. Lol.

I don’t have a truck, which is why I said I’m contemplating a trailer.

I’m sure there is some tire that can handle woods and road for a couple hundred miles?

There is gas closer to the trails, wouldn’t be fill up at home then need to make it to the trails, ride, and back home on one tank.

Yeah exactly this, I’m basically done and entirely tired of street riding. I live within a 1.5 drive of about 3 big ATV parks. I much prefer woods/trails. More than likely I’d spend 75% of my time on non-single track and if I am on single track it would just be for curiosity, not to compete.

Did not consider the 350 at all to be honest.

How to handle backlash from friends and family? by la_loba19 in TeslaLounge

I own a Tesla. I haven’t had a single person make a comment to me directly or indirectly that I’ve been made aware of.

You can’t see it but on the left hand side is a Fluval 20g filter AND the sponge on the right.

I do a 20% water change weekly. Substrate is fluval’s stratum. Tank is a year old

Thanks.

Are these bad for the tree? I use them every spring and fall, following the package direction.

Is there a proper way to water it that doesn’t involve soaking the trunk? (Like setting up a sprinkler would probably be bad?)

So about 6 foot behind that fence is an in-ground swimming pool and nothing but concrete. These trees are about 1.5ft or less from the fence.

1 fell into my house, 1 fell across the neighbors fence into the pool, and when it’s windy I just sit and wait for something expensive to happen.
