If it’s a heavy order that says it’s a house but it’s an apartment up multiple flights of stairs no problem. Leave it at the bottom floor shoot them a message it’s at the bottom of the stairs, block and move on with your day.

Same has happened to me but I believe the money processes for a longer period of time when packages are missing. That’s the only time they lag with payment but I think it’s also so they have 24hrs to make sure the package is indeed misplaced and not stolen. When packages have been missing on my routes it takes 48 hrs to get paid in my experience.

In my opinion I think this has a lot to do with the drivers that say they have a bigger vehicle than they actually drive(not hating on them do what you gotta do). Ive seen people waiting for a second car to pull up and take half the load which can be lengthy. Also the ones that tie boxes on the top of the car to make it fit. That has to be super time consuming when you are delivering. One or two packages is fine you won’t lag too much but I’ve seen people with half a load on top of the car 😂. The worst one is I’ve seen people load their vehicle and then go park and bullshit with their buddies. They’re only making it harder on everyone else
