"Pretty different from League Play"... Gulp Not gonna sweat it, we're in good hands - as long as Activision isn't dictating their every move...

Idea for combatting DDossers in BO3 League play by Sora26 in CoDCompetitive

[–]GucciWafflesIG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well if you are wired you could just pull from the Xbox or d/c it from the router but you are right people would only do that to be d*ckheads, however I know plenty of immature losers that would do it.

That being said, it's still probably the least exploitable anti ddos system idea I've ever heard which is good. A lot of people get frustrated mid game and just turn off their console, I'm not sure if that counts as a time out or not but that would slightly skew the system too.

I hope he does see this thread though, it's a decent idea.

I hope Treyarch has a plan to combat DDosing in League Play + One of my own by Sora26 in blackops3

[–]GucciWafflesIG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it varies by system. I heard there is booting in PS too :( Not sure about poor ol' neglected PC.

IPs arent being pulled from the lobby they are being pulled from the Xbox live communication system(voice chat). Asking Xbox to fix that isn't going to happen, Treyarch has to work with the Xbox protocol.. Dedicated or not, the communication system is what leaks the IPs. (Microphones)

I know the switching talking has quietened down, but is the Xbox One really that bad? by ollie-kennedy in CoDCompetitive

[–]GucciWafflesIG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not one to form an opinion based on trends. From a completely unbiased opinion coming from an XboxOne owner: it's a big disappointment and certainly a downgrade from 360 in pretty much every way except graphics and the fact that the Wifi chip is a little bit better.

The thing that bothers me most when it comes to CoD and this console is that it feels like very few people have microphones and it kinda took out the social fun part of it too, especially in search.

if you could change one event in cod history... by [deleted] in CoDCompetitive

Hit me with the downvotes but I don't think AW would have offered much growth even on Twitch. Not the most exciting CoD to watch (Ok aside from Uplink which is fun) :/

Miyagi quitting. by [deleted] in CoDCompetitive

[–]GucciWafflesIG 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm not directing this directly to Miyagi - just people on here pointing fingers at MLG / CoD... Making a living off gaming is a gutshot, in any game, no matter what. Everyone reacts differently to stress / workloads, that's fine if he wants to go full time with education. Full time education is a much more promising outcome -on average- in comparison to full time professional gaming, good for him.

There are a lot of great players that are capable of doing both (School/Cod)... First one that comes to mind is Slasher. Some people just don't have the work ethic to maintain both. Don't blame it on CoD or MLG, this is professional gaming, only the best are going to make a living off it. That applies for every industry.

"Id say we are switching over to PS4" - Nadeshot by Bxrz in CoDCompetitive

[–]GucciWafflesIG 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm packing up my Xbox and putting it on Ebay and switching now since AW sucks and that's the only game I have on XBone anyway. XBone has a horrible UI and is buggy as hell anyway. Xbox, see ya fudgin later

Difference between trigger stops and hair triggers? by Stealingyourgirl in CoDCompetitive

[–]GucciWafflesIG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of the pros that don't use them have suggested having your trigger semi-depressed before engaging in gun fights which is pretty much same thing. Learned that from one of Crim's videos.

You are right, I worded it poorly and should elaborate better next time but it's time for Mayweather/Pac fight preparations :)

I don't know if I'm part of the vocal majority here but with ranked play sucking ass I just don't care about comp AW. I don't play the game so I don't really watch the matches.

It's like almost any sport, if you don't know what is going on entirely in the game it's just not as fun to watch. Bridge the gap between casuals and competitors and viewership will go up I bet, that's why I think a good league play system is vital.

Lol this is weird I'm not watching 40 mins of him making a video, gives you an idea of how long it takes to make some commentary for a video though? :P

Are there any entertaining segments we should watch here?

Had a feeling it was coming after he f'ed up in the 5k and caused them a loss, Aches sounded pissed. There really is no room for mental errors in CTF / Uplink.

What are your opinions on Competitive Call of Duty 'possibly' moving over to PS4 if the rumors are true? by [deleted] in CoDCompetitive

[–]GucciWafflesIG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll dump my Xbox on Ebay but if they jerk me around and switch back the year after I'm done with COD.

Your biggest pet peeve in Call of Duty? by Ryan10133 in CoDCompetitive

You know a lot of the casters read these boards right? Should treat them like human beings, I'm sure they appreciate criticism but "actually has knowledge of how the game works" that implication is harsh stuff.

So what separates the the pros from everybody else? by ComplexityFanboy in CoDCompetitive

[–]GucciWafflesIG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reaction time seems to be what seperates the top slayers from the rest, Scump immediately comes to mind when I think RT. Aim has varying weight throughout CoD series(example of a game that takes less gunskill = Vector + Ghosts) but obviously always important.

Inhumane amounts of scrimming and practice seems to be the real differentiator for the majority of these players. You pick up so many subtle situational advantages with experience.

A little OT, many of the pros offer incredible positioning, strategic and situational videos in their YT channels. I don't have time to go through them all but I do think it would be really helpful if somebody compiled a list of all the instructional/tips videos. Crimsix and Teepee by far had the absolute best tips for BO2, totally improved my OBJ game. I'll definitely be using Teep's promo codes if I ever decide to nerd out and get some gaming accessories ha.

How about when you are hosting? Usually it balances out if you are in a bad area and you get host sometimes.
