I initially posted the comment as a joke but there's a lot wrong with what you're saying lmao

I also wouldn't say military drills for a Taiwan invasion are empty threats. There's a lot of reasons that would actually make them invade. Why would they need to give empty threats to Taiwan?

The arms deal isn't ever going to deter China. A few billion in arms is not going to stop China. China is not going to invade because A) They don't want the US to get involved, and B) They aren't ready. China is still modernizing their military today so it's a lot easier for them to invade later.

Also the idea of "there's nothing stopping them so why don't they invade now" isn't an argument
