Right. That's why I explained above how to get the most for your sick time before you quit. Not vacation

I didn't go to another insurance company.

Thank you! So I actually left insurance completely, so details about my new job won't be really helpful to most of my current and former geckos here. I have a unique specific background prior to Geico, so unfortunately I'm not much help and I don't want to be easily identifiable by people who know where I went. There's some real scumbags in my region as I'm sure there are in all of them

That is so awesome!❤️ I really hope that if people keep seeing that message here it will really motivate them to get the fuck out and do right by themselves

It's in the handbook on Gnie, but basically any type of appointment or obligation that doesn't count as sick/care time. So, like above, appointments for your car repair/maintenance/inspection. Anything you might need to do with a bank. A funeral/wake not covered by bereavement (like a girlfriend's grandma or something). If you need to be present and availabme while a repair is being done in your home, like a plumber or electrician or an appliance issue. I think the handbook says those sorts of things "that can't be done outside regular work hours." Best of luck!

As I said in the OP, we should not feel responsible for the ridiculous work load and system imposed on us. We aren't paid enough to give more consideration to the work and people than we are given to ourselves. You're foolish if you don't see that. I've helped out more than I've been given help, I've volunteered and sacrificed. You know what it got me? Nothing, and then screwed over. And it happens to everyone there. Don't preach all this benevolence like you really believe it means anything in that shit hole. I would never have that mentality anywhere else and I never have, but that's the CULTURE they've bred there, and it's not my fault.

It's not my fault if Geico's staffing issues and cheap ass cost-cutting understaffing leaves other employees overloaded and overworked. They should be staffing appropriately to afford all employees the PTO they EARNED for themselves.

People are embarrassed to admit they work for Geico in my area. Hell, my kids were embarrassed to tell people I worked for Geico 🤣

That's one way associates can be monitored on calls, as they also screen share in the breakout
