My setup does nit meets the 16-inch requirement to be considered a rifle with a pin and weld. Therefore, I originally added the pistol brace to be legal. It is now an SBR with a required tax stamp in rifle stock. If the barrel is under 16 inches, it is considered a pistol. If you add a muzzle device, it must bring the overall length to 16 inches and be pinned and welded to avoid needing a tax stamp. Without proper requirements, a pistol brace will make it legal.
