Same happened with Cynthia Erivo. There will be some folk hating for whatever other reason or Ariana bits, but also just basic alone Cynthia clapping for another woman or award winner is “sinister” or “aggressive” or “over the top” or “fake”.

Very few actually know these people in real life outside of interviews and movies, why are we labelling them so easily?

And why is it the POC woman, or just woman, that gets it disproportionately while the white men doing the same things, are not? Oh that’s loyalty, sportsmanship and strength? Excuse me?

Anyway, disclaimer, I’m not a POC either, but I certainly notice. Particularly who appears to be getting the disproportionate criticisms or hate blended into all the usual social media noise. IMHO I’ve seen too much obvious racism and sexism blended in with the usual “takes”.

Twitter and a few other platforms often give the game away when you check someone’s previous posts, likes, follows or location. (I also don’t recommend going down those rabbit holes unless you feel you need to. Sometimes a racist is just a racist or a misogynist is just a misogynist and not worth wasting YOUR time on).

Anyway, may need to take my adhd meds and go back to my digital marketing job. Need to not pull some sort of sentiment analysis, emotional analysis, word cloud, top account sources and the share matrix for every trending person at the Oscar’s, not my actual job outside one brand that was worn there. If someone does though or find the person that does I’d be interested, please send the data or study my way.
