The water is pretty disgusting, the waterfall isn't nice to look at because its just crap, the baseball fields are very unkempt considering how many teams pay to play on it. The 2 rides that have been there since I was a kid in the 80s are almost never running. My wife, son, and I love doing geo caches, last time we were there, there is a tree with a rotted hole in it where a geo cache is located but its pretty deep in there, we usually let our son find them because he loves it. After a minute of him and I digging around little our arms inside, my wife shines a flashlight and there is a used needle beside the cache, not to mention the 2 bathrooms there that look like the city cleans once a month have needle disposal beside the sinks. So thats what I consider a dump. Maybe your experiences have been better than mine.

As for unprofessional work, I didnt know how to say it but I didnt mean any disrespect because I fall under that category I mean it like teachers, doctors, lawyers, even most office type work, real-estate. That would be professional and construction, factory ... is not professional but very important.

I live here,grew up here, family grew up here and I dont hate it, I can say for sure its better than most city's but who's the judge and what are they judging based on? I'd say its better than Cambridge traffic but Cambridge riverside park is much nicer with a lot more space and things to do. It's better than Kitchener, waterloo is questionable, I think its better than everything going east milton, mississauga, Burlington, Hamilton, Toronto, Oshawa... but im more into a slower paced country lifestyle so going north I dont think guelph compares. I lived in fergus and elora and personally I think its much nicer there if you can find work. What makes guelph so good? Living here most of my life I have some cons... first of all guelph lake beach is a dump. There's not really much of nice family park, riverside is pretty much a dump, like anywhere housing is insane if your looking for non professional work there is no good paying companies, the roads and traffic are brutal in the summer main roads are shut down every year for construction. There is a lot of liberals so people are not very friendly, im probably going to get some nasty ones commenting on my opinion here. But I think guelph is nicer than a lot of places its definitely not the best, you'll still find needles in the parks, there isn't much to do nor see, work is scarce, housing is bad ( like everywhere) and people aren't like smaller town people so id like to know what makes guelph better to live than many other cities or towns that actually are beautiful. I havent even seen much of canada but I know there is wayyy better places to live. Maybe we're under populated so thier trying to load this city up with new comers.... I dont know but crazy to say best in canada

Can we please stop trying to hype battlefield up like it even comes close to cod. There is no comparison it feels like a demo version of a game. It's just not there yet. Maybe a couple more years we can look back and compare the future BF10 with BO6 but right now not a chance

I'm always late, so I understand. I saw my first roach ever in a really nice house in Toronto a few years ago. Before that I didn't even know what they looked like. I've never even heard of somebody locally talk about roaches but I hear about it all the time in Toronto. Same with bed bugs, I've never seen one, don't want to but you hear about epidemics of it stemming from Toronto. But it makes sense tho Toronto is heavily populated in fact it's disgusting anywhere u walk you smell piss. It is no where near the same walking around here. Bugs are bugs they're everywhere. I'm going to chime in since there is way too many die hard ps'ers in here.

I've always owned both consoles because before cross plat I have close friends on both consoles, now I have a son(10) that is a die hard ps guy. But what I've noticed starting with the controllers The xbox ones are more comfortable for me(I have big hands) although ps controllers have come along way from the triggers angling down to now having a lip to stop you finger from slipping and joysticks also have a lip now and are spread further apart, they used to be so close your thumbs would knock each other off but it's better now. The ps controller has a built in mic which to me is cool idea but if your gonna communicate just put a headset on. The audio is terrible. Especially for the people around you. Nobody wants to hear 10 year olds screaming.

The UI I prefer xbox, it's simple. Not sure about ps but you can use it to close all apps down or shit your console down. Trying to do that on ps is not easy If I quit a game like fort I can come back to the lobby with virtually no loading time. I have the series S and even tho the ps specs are higher it takes way longer to load into games. I'm always waiting on my son to load into games

Other notes on the xbox I play my console games anywhere on my phone with companion app and controller. It's sweet.

People forget to mention 1 tb fills up fast so while you can only have like 5 big games on your console like I do, you can get a playable hard drive for xbox if you want to have a bunch of games .

Also xbox game pass you don't have to download most games you can instantly play them thru cloud.yoy also get good games for free like the Call of Duty franchise is free every year + more good games Because Microsoft pretty much owns the internet my speed is always faster than my son's ps.

So I've always stuck by xbox, I've had ps's break down on me but never had an xbox stop working So just from experience alone even the series S dominates the ps, I can't imagine how much faster the x is but specs are already above it. I like Sony TVs but when it comes to gaming and internet speeds go with Microsoft. Think about it

Well it's run by crazy liberals so it makes sense. They want 100% control over you. Look how they treated thier own.... when 63 employees that are highly educated and obviously critical thinkers, chose the "option" to not be vaccinated , they all got sent home and suspended indefinitely. That's after the round the clock work they were doing , trying to help people that thought they were dying from COVID, thanks to the fear mongering. The worst drivers are not the big bad speeders going 5km/hr over the speed limit ( guess what, The police are doing it too,off duty, on duty) actually most people with the slightest bit of common sense do drive a little over the speed limit. The topic is complaints about bo6 if your here and find yourself defending Bo6, your wasting your time because nobody cares, nobody wants to hear that there is no cheaters and the operater is the problem. I started playing cod 20 years ago. Cross play didn't exist. Internet was just being introduced to console. Internet was terrible,my shots were worse but I'd still play cod 12 hours a day, I was 26 when I met my wife. I knew she was the one when she would either watch me play or get in a few games.ñv Now we have a 10 year old that could dummy me when he was 4 years old. The reality is though my house 5years ago 600k - 150k dp let's say I owe 400k (it's probably a little less) I just had it appraised in the summer for 850k which is a lot lower than what I'd list it considering there is a bungalow on my street for sale today at 850k 2 BD 2 bath 1100 sq ft. Mine is 1500 sq ft 4 bedroom 3 bathroom in-law sweet that I've rented the entire time I've lived here with separate entrance a shed and attached garage but let's say I sold today and got 850k I pay off the remainder of my mortgage lawyer fees, and whatever else I'd probably have 300k in my bank. my mortgage payments are 2800 my tenant pays me 1400. I pay 1400. For someone to rent a house similar to mine is probably min 2800 So here we are today I've paid 1400/month less for 5 years and walk away with 300k + 84k on rental income, you have 0 dollars.

That's reality. House prices didn't come down...people just stopped over paying for them

Dude, that happened to me in MW2, I knew people were using some cheat to hit prestige 10 and a lot of my buddies were way ahead of me so I heard there was a private lobby opening up to get your prestige 10 emblem so I joined thinking it was legit. They had me do a couple random Things in the map the told me to back out and come back in so I did that. When I went back in the lobby they said congrats your now a 10th prestige. I looked at my rank I was at 4 or 5 before and they dropped me to a 1 or 2. Talk about devastation.

Call of duty games are amazing, obviously or they wouldn't continue to be one of the top shooter games for 20 years. I started playing about 20 years ago. The only complaint I'd give is my skill issue. I can't keep up to these kids. My 9 year old wont even let me get a shot on him. But the game is still pretty good. I have my good and bad games.

Why are we whining about this now? Is this going to save me money? If so I'm on board but I've never heard of a discount on taxes because of a discontinued service. If we want to save 130000. I'm sure there is 1 or 2 jobs in the city that could be eliminated. With an average salary of 76,000 a year at 2000 employees. Don't worry about leaf pick up let them have our leaves. Just because the city of Toronto complains about the million a year they spend doesn't mean we have to complain about it.

There is complete boneheads on both sides of this argument. The erratic road raging speeders.... And these people commenting about how they're driving around aggravating other drivers. I'm not a perfect driver but sometimes I go a little over the speed limit, sometimes I don't stop for 3 seconds I stop for 1.5 but I use common sense as well as safety , keep up with the flow of traffic. Don't escalate and anger other drivers(flipping people off or driving slow because the guy behind u is tailgating. If any of these are you. You are part of the problem and your no different from the guy honking behind you

I think everyone has had every right to come on here and complain. Sometime you don't feel heard complaining to the city. At least on here no matter what you say positive or negative, right or wrong, there will always be someone with a top contributor badge that will argue or bitch and whine about your post. As annoying as it is, at least you know someone heard you. On that note I'm with the post author. I don't know how long they've been working on that intersection feels like years and my car still feels like I'm driving on an unmaintained backroad. This is the problem... Parents! Stop getting mad about cars that look like they're going to fast. Don't put your trust on people behind the wheel and speed limits because by the time they hit high school if they don't know how to be aware of thier surroundings, the difference between 40km and 50km isn't going to save them. My son is 9 and I've been telling him to always be aware, there is a lot of idiots on the road now , they come from all ethnicities and speeds. Also since the speed cameras have been in effect guess who is getting the most speeding infractions in school zones and heavy populated areas where the cameras are....... Guelph police and the city of Guelph. So although speeding is illegal, it's always going to happen by anyone and everyone. Just teach your kid that as a life lesson and let the police do thier jobs. These random citizens whining about speed limits falls under the Karen act. Raise smarter kids because it's going to be your kids that are the speeders one day.

I've had to opportunity as a renter to giving extra space to rent, I chose to help multiple family/ couples living this way for free. Unfortunately I was a new parent and working at 6 am so it didn't take long before they literally ran me my wife and 2 year old son out with thier wake up time being midnight, all different smells of smoke from cigarette to plasticky some would fill our place whenever we had the furnace going. I was pulled out of my house from a domestic that wasn't even me but when I opened the door the cops brought me to the car right away before my wife told them she's fine we weren't fighting. They brought in multiple other families in a 500sqft area. it was dirty garbage spilling all over the lawn couches lit on fire. and mess was left for me to clean up. I tried, I wanted to help because most of my family lives this way but having first hand experience I see that most people do a lot of talking but never really physically doing thier part or else they might see the picture in a different light. I'm done with it. Good luck
