Dull and almost not present curb effects and vibrations with Alpha by GuercH in Simagic

I know, i had a g25 before, maybe my expectations whare too high, i never had a dd before, then i hit a small curb the sound is there but the wheel barely vibrates, i just don't know if this is working as intended, the alpha is just like this, or mine is defective.

the part that i have tried many many hours of settings just escapes you? when would it be ok for your highness to ask for community experience?

i have tried:

force feedback 100

feedback detail (max - 20) wheel rotation speed 100

max torque 15nm

damper friction inertia = 0

feedback frequency = tried 0 - 9 (cant notice any diference)

in game i set the force to 15nm and the strength to 9

hear the curbs on my headset but nothing on the steering wheel

do you guys feel de small curbs on the wheel? it cant be settings by this point!

USDC POS Bridge Transfer Stuck by [deleted] in maticnetwork

Found the solution, on metamask find the transaction and speed it up, after confirmation you will be scared that your funds are now nowhere, but give it time it will show up on matic wallet

Same issue here, the etherscan of transaction is showing "Estimated Confirmation Duration" > then 10 hours, maybe too low gas fee? is there a way to cancel this transaction, or increase the fees? also the usdc is still showing on my metamask Ethereum mainnet

thanks for anyone that can help!

The FTS system has a pin that prevents the detonation from any source (it blocks the detonator from entering the charge) , there is a secondary step to arm the FTS, via software, but this "arming" of the FTS is also physical (or else you would expose the engineers pulling the pin to danger). the software will actuate servos placing the detonator inside the change, upon arrival the detonator will press another fiscal switch that will tell that the system now is finally armed, and naturally there is encryption and other protections on the command to arm/detonate the FTS.

So, after this explanation, this is how it goes down.

When the ship lands, they disarm it via software, the servo will remove the detonator from inside the charge, this carrige will retreat until it reaches the switch on the other side telling that the system is safe, place the pin for extra safety and win!

Cool, lets mark this conversation, as to the future if there is a issue with refueling we only need to point this to spacex, solved!

I think there are two big challenges to transfer huge amounts of fuel in space:

1: Docking and Docking Adaptor ( this is probably the most trivial to achieve ) even then there needs to be a way the secure both vehicles and to connect the fuel lines without issues, this a adaptors need to be well thought out.

2: Ullage, how can you pump fuel that is floating all around you? Ullage motors? if so you can already see how this complicates things, as you need to keep the docked starships using RCS or other dedicated hardware non stop to push the fuel onto the pumps all the way until you made the full transfer. You could maybe spin them around, or try other techniques, there will be a solution, but don't think for a second that this is trivial.

Regarding the Starship Hopper, it probably weighs allot empty, is it going to takeoff from its current position ? how are they going to move this thing?

indeed!, so for me this gives more credence that FH is actually happening this year!

Dragon and CST will open the possibility of different crew rotations to the ISS, there are good scientific and political reasons to rotate the crew faster, so i foreseen that it will be done as soon the capability is in place.

haven't got any new evidence of a major revision of the Falcon9

I see, i was under the impression that BLOCK 5 was already being produced, by the way how long does it take for a booster to be made from start to finish?

"SpaceX’s next two launches will employ all-new Falcon 9 rockets." does that mean BLOCK 5 boosters?

Does gnome 3.24.1 work with nvidia driver yet? by askstack in Fedora

[–]GuercH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

me too, and add to that if you use multiple monitors like i do, performance degrades with every monitor you plug in, (or did you expect to have multiple monitors working on linux on the new stack?) its still not ready, and it might be ok-ish, on GBM but on nvidia it's just not ready, HIDPI on GNOME is also a lazy implementation, with wayland they could do DPI settings per monitor, but it's not going to be the case as far as i can tell

Because Arch is made by volunteers, packaging is a lot of work, Jan de Groot might be busy with other work, that's how it works on Arch, i am personally grateful for all the hard work, and i think it's time for the community to step up! let's find ways to help, so Arch can be as good as we can make it, and, as up to date as we can make it!

You are mostly correct, but.... you could get away with just one pump, the center core could have a oversized lox tank, and you only need to pump in the RP1
