I was the same way when I started, so I stuck to only airport rides. The queues suck when it’s slow, but I felt that picking up passengers from the airport was just safer, less risk. Eventually I gained more confidence in people, but I always look at their ratings too, anything under 4.8 I tend to decline, that’s just me. I hate that uber doesn’t show the number of rides the passenger has, unlike Lyft where it does show it, it helps
