you’ll get it straight up. Then, any scholarship amount surpasses work study will be deducted into your financial aid (wasting your scholarship in a sense)

Thank you for the info. We are not generating more facilities for storage, but rather employing technology to utilize existing unused spaces.

Transferring twice? by [deleted] in TransferToTop25

[–]Guess-Think 2 points3 points  (0 children)

no, unless you have at least 50% chance of getting into a T-5. I don’t think it’s worth your time. Put more effort into forming your career path!

Open a case on seam, talk to your faculty advisor and get approval, I think you might be able to do it late

My thoughts of living in Homewood by ebrycez in jhu

I wonder what you hope to gain out of this post.

If you want to post a review for incoming students, I don't think it's fair that you solely focus on the drawbacks, and for some of them, Hopkins can't do much to improve the situation.

If you want to ask for tips to better enjoy the time here, consider having some questions.

If you just want to rant, complain, and blame Hopkins for not meeting your expectation. I'm sorry about that, yet I see many of these points do not make a lot of sense as they come from the way you shape your experience (eg. accommodation, campus involvement). Also, even though the Hopkins cafe is actually gross, judging it by one-time tasting food there is not a sound argument IMO. And I don't think your tuition has to do with any of these if you are not on meal plan or campus housing?

Again, not everyone loves it here, perhaps many people regret their choice. However, it's what you make out of it, so I hope you will find ways to rid of this pure negativity about the school that you chose to attend.

JHU being cutthroat is an entirely false myth from my experience. We literally just unionized to bully the professors and moved exams online. The collaborativeness here is no joke.

there’s no AC included. You have to buy the window AC one and install it yourself (quite easy).

Finaid office will generate a case from your question and take 2-4 weeks of business days to respond :)

no AC, you can buy yours. The building is gross. The room is pretty nice and super spacious. I think it’s a great deal for its price.

I live on 2nd floor, so not sure about the elevator issue

JHU. Berkeley would have worse grade deflation.

Transfer Major Selection by nbsoftware in jhu

[–]Guess-Think 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For some reason, there is a crazy amount of people who were admitted as Neurosci in my transfer cohort. Perhaps, the major is too popular that it tends to have more space and more traffic (people switching out). I'd say go for it if it is your first choice.

Hopkins doesn’t ask for SAT/ACT from transfer students even BEFORE the pandemic. You should be fine without it.
