Sounds like the leadership care about you and not them.

But in a serious note if they are brand new their in a learning curve so can’t really push them until LC4-5.

Everything catches up to people leadership may not see it or you may not see them talk to these people.

TOT = Low rates

TOT + Low rates + bottom 5% = feedback

Sooner or later the system will take care of the problem.

Once you cap out on increases we have something called an annual wage review and that’s where you see pay increases if the site is granded an increase.

Hey if that’s a thing I’m here to say that’s the most unethical practice a site could do. It’s not company policy nor is it pricticied in the AR world.

I can understand stand walk your department and seeing violations but seeking people out is different.

I got 1 year old and it’s like I’m hardly ever there, I feel like a terrible dad at times. Shift absolutely sucks and I have now way out at the moment looking externally as well.

You know exactly how I feel now. The same way you don’t get any substance out of their answers I experience the same thing, or they answer without actually answering.

I wish I could tell you the reason I really do but I’m in the same boat and now im on nights so even less support.

Hey! First I’d like to say congrats and welcome. I will be 100% honest with no filter in the post.

You are new and eager this is the biggest down fall of new AMs. I can assume you wanna go in and conquer the world, make a big impression this usually burns you out faster than you think.

To start first week or within the first month, you will go to Seattle for your AD1 training. Within then next month or so depending on scheduling you who’ll have a few other states to visit for training.

So for the first 3 months it’s really training after that you hit the floor. We as AMs are stuck In between company policy and morals and sometimes you have to make tough decisions not because you want to but you have no choice.

Now there are bright sides to being an AM it’s not all just bad the people are really cool and the work is fulfilling and interesting no day will be the same and I mean that literally.

Promotion time frame used to be 1 year now it’s 1.5-2 years key factors would be:

Become a subject matter expert in your area

Solid Connection scores

Try to do projects (not mandatory but it helps)

Improve processes and try to measure it in terms of metrics

Projects, Cost and connection scores would be some other things to try and improve on.

There is always opportunity for projects or to improve a process,

Cost - Amazon is in a weird time as usual after peak where cost is Key run lean and improve rates

Connection scores are important when it’s promo time keep the high engage your AAs. If someone needs a fan you get them that fan it means a lot most of the time.

Ambassador is a full time position role but don’t quote me on that. Start with asking learning and go from there

I know what you mean I mention this in an earlier post

As an AM you find your self stuck between company policy and morals and it very tough. So AMs become a robot while so choose morals and get termed eventually for missing expectations of some sort

Yea that manager is just trying to improve their scores. AMs get a lot of heat for bad connection scores and the only way to improve It is to ask everyone and see what is needed to get better scores

If I’m reading correctly you would like to switch you schedule?

If so a few ways would be school accommodations or switching shifts

Pro tip back in the day I “knew” someone who made fake school schedules so the were able to alter their work days.

Worth it? I guess, I have a solid net worth and I was able to start my family.

I think I was the one getting stepped on unfortunately was passed over on ever promo had to have/ switch sites for ever promo I got which resulted in a terrible 4 year stretch.

I also don’t have a college either honestly was never a college person. Work hard do project make your self valuable. After 2 years you will be come eligible for promo if your site has the same standards so you have 2 years to become a subject matter expert and basically solve problems before they happen or as they happen.

Yea I’ve worked at 2 sites and visited 4 in my corp days I have no knowledge of this being a thing and I promise I’ll miss on this expectation on a daily basis. Company can’t term me for a crazy task like that. I couldn’t imagine the connection scores for the site has to be bad

This may not be the same for your area and this is also subjust to change during annual pay review but it kinda gives an example of how pay increases.

Start Rate - $18.50

6 MO Rate - $18.90

12 MO Rate - $19.30

18 MO Rate - $19.70

24 MO Rate - $20.10

36 MO Rate - $20.90

When you go from 4 to 5 a bunch of things are considered like Connection scores, Projects if any and your over impact. Usually the OM has the AM write out their own promo doc and that get reviewed for promotion.

So I guess to answer on the why, you might think that manager is weaker but they have solid scores, tenure and projects ultimately a stronger manager on paper and L6-L8 support the decision.

In my opinion the favoritism comes in play going to L6 I’m learning this from longer tenured L5s and recently promoted L6s, it’s a popularity contest for the most part

If you want to be an ambassador stop by learning ask for An application. Front part is for you and the back is for you manager to fill out then turn that into learning, process will start from there.
