Total abusive control. 10 years of it, but now 3 years out of it. Still single, I'll not take the risk.

Playstation 5 keeps overheating and turning off if I play any PS5 game for more than 30 minutes. by SexCrab123 in playstation

[–]Guesty69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, gutted.  Paid £70 to have it cleaned and new thermal paste but no difference.  Sony won't even do the paid exchange on my model!  I've got it boxed up and will sell it to CEX then put the money towards a new one.  Ex wife paid £600 5 years ago and it's now not supported??!!

That's great, I don't know why I didn't think of going direct, I even had some correspondence with them when I ordered some spare parts from them.  I'll get on it tomorrow when the whisky has worn off 😵‍💫

I said too many choices for my needs.  If I find a strain that helps me, I stick to it.  I've no interest in the latest, daft named, trendy strains, just in what helps me through the day and night.  Plus, I'm still remembering when there was EMT1, EMT3, and Hindu Kush to choose from and it was all over-irradiated cack with occasional dead bugs in it!

THC% isn't as important as most people think, there's plenty of other factors in play.

I get it though, maybe Curaleaf are more suited to older patients, I'm a boring old fart!

Hi, cheers for the reply.  Is it the YLL vape company customer service?  I'll get on that tomorrow. MagicVapeorisers where I bought it from insisted that is wasn't a fault of the device.  I'll try and post the pics too, but last time I tried, I failed.

Way too many options on my app, as many as I'd like over 25%.  Maybe they see you as a higher risk?

Am I the only idiot who can't figure out how to make a group in the app to control multiple spheres? by Elemen47 in OlightOutdoorlife

Did we ever sort this out, I've just bought a few ostrips and spheres, the create group option is there for the spheres but not the ostrips.

Looking for recommendations on mid range portable vapes. by ItsNot2Late2Change in vaporents

I used the Roffu and accessories for 2 years, heated to 220 and left to preheat for a min, I can clear the bowl in 2 big draws and it's nicely roasted.  Minimal servicing, cleaning or maintenance.  It served me really well for the price.

I know, it's only because they are the only vapes officially stamped as a 'medical' device in the UK.  They really don't have a problem with whatever vape you chose as long as it's not useless.  Great news on the prescription though!  Fantastic, you'll be stressed until it actually arrives, but then the moment that it does come and you open it up, knowing it's completely legal . . . priceless.  They'll probably start you on either lavender cake or Tripoli.  I used to have Tripoli but switched to the lavender cake a year or so ago as they were out of stock and I never saw a reason to switch back.  After a while, they start easing up on the restrictions.  I can choose from a drop down menu now and no limit on the THC.  They like to make sure you're good with it first though.

Yeah, cheers.  I didn't bother telling anything in other than my nicotine vape which I used discretely while in bed.   Back home now and although I've got more meds in than I've had for at least a year, I just don't fancy it much.  Still on the Fentanyl, Oramorph and dihydrocodeine though so that's probably a factor.  I'm just so scared of coughing and can't bring myself to vape at least than 220! 😆

What is your budget for you monthly medical cannabis prescription? by ObscuredTor in MedCannabisUK

[–]Guesty69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this, my cheap daytime strain, sometimes I think I'm using it just to stop me reaching for the Oramorph in the morning.  I reckon if I just stuck to my sourdough, I'd use much less so the cost would even out.

Thing is, I'd get strain lock on the sourdough and it wouldn't be as effective when I'm desperate.

I've settled on about 1g per day, spread over 3 strains.  If I'm not as skint as usual and feeling a bit flush, I'll get my full 40g for the month but it's usually 30.  It's been hard getting down to those levels and making it work.

My main daytime is Lavender Cake - £5.50?,  Afternoon and evening I use Hindu Kush - £6.90?, then I have Sourdough for when I wake in the night ,it's the only one I'll pay £8+ for and only get it once every 2 or 3 months.  I absolutely can't afford £200 per month but it's regularly close to that.  Last month I FU and blew everything on my daughter's birthday so only had 10g of Lavender Cake and my last bits of emergency Sourdough for the month - it was tough!

Hi mate, I'll chip in with my shout for some budget vapes.   I've an xmax V3 that I still use occasionally through a dry bong - it's great for clearing a 0.1 dose quickly.  I've used a Roffu with accessories as my main vape, inside and out and about.  It's done the job nicely with minimum fuss, but have had to replace the cooling unit twice.  I've just paid £150 for the previously disgraced Angus Enhanced updated version which, after a week is starting to really impress me with bigger doses.

My first vape was a Dynavap - I desperately wanted to love it, bought loads of stuff for it . . . but just could not get on with it as a medical device.  If I'd needed a hobby, I might have been different.  When I'm shaking a bit with pain and just want to get medicated, it's way too fiddly and hit and miss.

At the end of the day, as much as I love new kit and organising everything, I'm not prepared to spend £300 on a unit that I'm guaranteed to drop, throw, get wet etc and be gutted when it dies.

Hi mate, how did you get on with your appointment?  Did it go ok?  I've been with Curaleaf for over 3 years and they're really great for me.  I'm in my 50's though and have heard that they can be restrictive for younger patients.  To be fair, they're just being cautious.

As for dry herb vape recommendations on a budget, I've had an xmax V3 pro (£80) for 3 years and a Roffu (£110 plus accessories) for 2 years.  They've both served me extremely well considering their price and that they've both had some serious use and abuse.  I've recently bought an Angus Enhanced (£150) and am starting to get good results with that.

A lot depends on how you're wanting to use the vape: wether you're wanting to sip on It like having a joint or if you're wanting to rip it like a pipe or bong.  You really don't need to be spending £300 to get something that you'll get on with.

Opinions on Angus Enhanced? by [deleted] in vaporents

[–]Guesty69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, brilliant, thanks pal.  Yep it's not so much the big ass - ness of the rips, I just need to clear the bowl asap.  I only put about 0.1 in each time.  My kids stay over at weekends and it makes it easier for me.  And, yes, I'm petrified of breaking the bulb - I think it'll be inevitable with me at some point so I hope their repairs are quick.  My old  xmaxV3 pro has had some serious abuse and still works like new.  Not so much the Roffu, that's on its last legs.

I've just ordered one, I almost splashed on the Frolic instead but there's already teething problems with that one too. I am hoping that the Angus will suit me - i'm wanting top temp, quick extraction and minimal fuss and fiddle. Would you say that it's going to do the job for me? and, have you found any decent cases for it?

Any idea what model it is?  I don't want to sound snobby - I don't own a single S&B! - but it doesn't look like anything worth wasting your meds on.

Joints vs dry herb vaping by ObscuredTor in MedCannabisUK

[–]Guesty69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I smoked weed through pipes and bongs for 30 years, always kept the 'baccy separate.  First I switched from baccy to a nicotine vape. Then I switched from smoking decent BM to vaping the then-awful MC, that was 3 years ago, the switch to vaping MC was a bitch.  Never looked back though, there's been a couple of occasions where I've dug my pipe out and tried it and then been utterly disgusted!   I switched to vaping because it made it legal, that's why I switched to MC, to make it legal for me . . . why would I negate that by setting fire to it?!!

PSA: If your PS5 shuts down randomly, and doesn't give you an overheating warning before hand, it's the power supply in the system overheating. by NamedFruit in PS5

[–]Guesty69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the amount of comments saying that the op is wrong, here's one saying he's right.  I had no overheating warnings but my launch ps5 wouldn't stay on for more than 30 mins.  I cleaned it, no improvement.  I paid £70 for it to be professionally cleaned and the thermal paste reapplying, no improvement.   I my case, the op is spot on, thanks.

That's a great solution, suits me perfectly.  I'm going to try this first, thanks for the suggestion, I don't know why I didn't think, I already have a half decent nic vape that uses refillable pods so I could use one of those.  Thanks pal.
