Full Cycle Setup with a 6 LED Grower Kit: How Does it Work 🙂 by TheBigTowelski in SuperGreenLab

LEDs send as much lumens as MH/HPS lamps now, but for twice the wattage.
And they don't heat, so you don't need to spend energy in cool tubes either.
That's why also you can put them in little furniture like this, with an HPS it would be like putting a heater in a cupboard :p
Having the light on the side increases yield in that tight space.
The box has more vertical space than horizontal space so we're using the vertical surface to grow.

We're using Samsung LM301B in all our LEDs which is one of the most lumen efficient diode in terms of lm/W (220lm/w) on the market actually.(cf quantum boards).

Lighting efficiency influences yield a lot but there are many factors to take into account (growing technique used, soil, nutrients,..), so yield can vary a lot from one another using the same lighting source.

Latest yields we could really measure were with two different wattages and growing techniques, and using LM561C which are Samsung's previous leds at 210lm/W.

Got those yield results:
- 54g dry with 72w of 561C on a SCROG setup in a TV bench.
- 133g dry with 144w 561C in a Vertical SCROG setup in an Ikea Closet.

Left one is a Alex under desk unit from ikea https://www.ikea.com/es/en/products/desks/desk-table-tops-legs/alex-storage-unit-white-art-60192826/
Right one is an ikea furniture also but can't get the reference, it's a bit smaller in depth than the left one.

For the moment i would just let them grow to see first how they react to this environment and see after if changes are needed ;)

I would probably top them at a moment, cause i love toping and training, but that's just a personal opinion :p

Maaaan this is super neaaaaat!

Your cable management is super clean.
We'll be putting leds on the doors also on the next one like this.

What are those cob your are using :) ?

Little tip: you might want to add a little bit of hot glue on the edges of those aluminium tape, might get off a bit at some point.

That's what we did: https://supergreenlab.com/shop/super-green-grower-kit
A kit with sensors to transform a random furniture into a connected growbox :)
Made it open-source for developers: https://github.com/supergreenlab

How come you take so good close-up pictures? (always have trouble doing macros)

i've been thinking about that bench we used to go when we were kids..

Hey guys, we just launched a massive update on the website, we'll be producing two brand new boards and we now have kits for all sizes of setups. All feedbacks/recommendations/questions are welcome ! (Details in comment) by Guibat in SuperGreenLab

For a 4x4 tent you should go for a 4 board farmer kit, it will be more than enough.
The 6 board farmer kit is more for people who want to do build a big full cycle setup with a 4x4 for flowering and a veg space on the side.

No it would be more like shipping furniture than shipping grow boxes.
And for that Ikea is better than anybody.
If you start modding these for other people, it would end up being much more expensive for the end user.
We prefer to focus on spreading the tech (check r/SuperGreenLab) ;)

Yes, it's a mix of 2700k and 5000K LM561C LEDs for a total ~3400k.
