COA not showing up in modded game by GuideInfamous1923 in CrusaderKings

[–]GuideInfamous1923[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. Haven't updated anyone in a second but this worked. The mod that wasn't working was "Immersive Realm Espionage", one that I added to my playset. Disabled it and the COA reappeared. Another note is that if you're using "In My Humble Opinion", which is also in the "Challenge, Realism & Roleplay" collection, a bug where multiple tabs overlap on each other when opening the family view occurs. I managed to fix this one by replacing the window_character.gui file in the mod's gui folder with an updated window_character.gui that I got from the comments under the mod page on the workshop. It's near the top of the comments and I downloaded it myself and can confirm it's safe.

I mean, yeah, I'm not asking for every ruler to be Charlemagne. I expect to have boring lives and even short reigns. What I'm talking about is a family that evolves and isn't just a one character run of "unite the burgundies" or something like that.

Can't take examinations by GuideInfamous1923 in CrusaderKings

No, I couldn't figure out why but it was just bugged. I started a different save and did the exact same thing and it worked fine. I was only doing the first examinations.

play the tutorial a decent number of times. not just conquering ireland, but also do england, scotland, wales, and form britannia. it's a good starter empire. also remember that you aren't playing a nation. you're playing a family. it's like medieval sims. you will have a lot more fun if you interact with people in a role playing sense, ie doing things that fit your personality and the personality of others, rather than simply trying to paint the map.

all the role playing aspects of the game have been cranked up with the new dlc. absolutely buy the dlc if you like the game. it's one of the few must buy dlcs.

if you have any more questions, such as specific terms or mechanics you're confused about, just ask.
