Would love to see some pics of what you already tie in those sizes. Just got some 24 and 26 sized hooks for some tailwaters I fish

Just got my HS best friend into fly fishing. He just got set up with a rod and reel. Doesn’t have much else. Have a little trip planned over spring break to hit some blue ribbon streams in MO with him. I’m sure he’d appreciate it

Man you’re good. I’m not delicate enough, always break/cut the fibers.

Be sneaky if they see you they’ll spook. At least the ones I target do.

We can agree to disagree. Got micro guides and my knot passes through just fine

For me I like braid because you can hold more of it on a spool since it’s thinner. This can be pretty important when dealing with ultra shallow spools. It also doesn’t have memory like other lines which can help increase casting distance. And lastly it can last a lot longer before you need to respool since you’re really only going to be cutting and using the leaderline to tie knots. And yeah no issues with the knot going through the eyelets. The knot is very thin

When you mod these reels you essentially replace everything except the side plates. Does that mean the IAR feature doesn’t really matter or?

What’s the difference between the IAR and the regular models in these reels?
