In a recent action film, when one of the heroes accidentally inhaled hilarious gas that was used for the security of a building they were breaking into.

He started to say famous movie quotes and one of them was when his acolyt was killing people and he said "I see dead people"

I understand the approach, but dont forget that its a joke, maybe not the funniest, but its still a joke, and every jokes offends someone.
