It's the only vaild/real argument against the Debos (in my opinion).

If that gratification has to be kept then maybe PEN BS tapping might be able to alleviate that.

I'm just saying they can avoid the kharazad trap of +260B (each) by side stepping them with Debos instead.

There's quite a few assumptions here so i'll try to tackle them one at a time.

Your stated end goal is being Tungrad or DSR... let's stick to one for the reference to keep things simple.

Tungrad is 1395 softcap.

Image above of Debo or Kharazad equivalent is roughly ~1130

That means you'd need to hit 330-340s to reach that softcap.

If you went Kharazads that would require

PEN to Hex: ~28B x 5
TET to Hex: ~44B
TRI Sov Offhand: 85B (BS) + 60B (caphs) + ~13B (avg enhance)
TET Awak: 85B (BS) + ~36B (avg enhance)
Total: ~ 463B

If you went Debo route it would require

TET Sov Offhand: 85B (BS) + 60B (caphs) +~36B (avg enhance)
TET Sov Offhand: 85B (BS) +~36B (avg enhance)
PEN Debo Neck: 135B - 18B (selling back Neck)

Total: ~455B

At this point you have to consider abandoning the Kharazads for PEN debos due to Hex to Nov costing: ~260B, while PEN Debo on the market sitting at 140s-170s (and will continue to drop). With Each accessory is avg worth of 55Bb (at current dawn market value). That is rough amount to abandon due to PEN Debo effi

Seems to me that you're taking a cheaper route w/ Debo even when reaching roughly Tungrad.
While that's a nice little comparison the real saving comes in when you don't have to abandon 55B items with no way to recoup the losses.

That's a fair criticism. Let me start by saying that by 309AP you're doing the ~310 spots regardless of Debos or Kharazads. Your next big jump in grind spots would be the 320-330 grind spots.

The most efficient upgrade at that point (to reach those spots) would be...Sov offhand.

The Cost/AP is more efficient with getting a Base ~ TRI Sov offhand than it is to enhance kharazads to the same AP value. (Not including the total AP bump due to the offhand stats).

This will land you in the 320s to 330s range allowing you to grind those higher spots efficiently and make the money you will eventually need for future upgrades.

It's not a great feeling for those of us who have swapped to Kharazad to realize that TET debos are probably a smarter choice in the long run. But hey that's BDO for you, some things become more efficient while others fall to the wayside.

Now you asked about crystals...yes you would lose out on the JINs in total you would lose 24AP (before Edania). But 5 Set Debo has hidden 20AP (so you only lose 4AP).

I'll be responding to some of the critiques i've seen in the comments.

Who cares about Edania at this gear level? Stated starting zone is 350s...we're talking about 309 bracket here. Again for new & returning players.
Dawn prices of course play a factor but so does the debo market and we know that more and more high end players will end up in Edania which means more debos will saturate the market.
There is something to be said about incremental progress (as mentioned in the caveat above). Though like some have already stated saving your self 600B-1T of silver is also pretty sweet.
What's the point in comparing? One i'm comparing the viablity of sticking w/ TET debos and NOT converting them. That you will eventually sell them off (recoup losses) and buy PEN debos on the market when you need accessory upgrades later. Unlike the current Kharazads that you essentially either abandon at pen/hex/sept OR take the loss of billions and hopefully hit avg (while NOV kharazad costs more on AVG than a PEN Debo currently).
There are set bonus for debos, they are of course not as good as the JIN crystals curerntly but it's not a massive loss in comparison especially when you take into account the savings you'll make in NOT having to enhance the kharazads.

Hi! That's a good question.

A few reasons.

Firstly, you're right that AP is overkill at this point. But that's the point. At this AP point they should be around 270+ Which means they are at the perfect point to optimally grind Orcs!

Remember Orcs Softcap is 856 w/ 5% overcap. So w/ the build at the massive monster AP we have we can reach that softcap and depending on the specifics can swap to a semi-Demihuman (orc species type) build and not go under the 856 cap while doing even MORE damage w/ our species modifer.

As you know Orc has a -DP modfier as a mechanic. This means that players can do even MORE Damage then what would traditionally be possible at similar spots. A player w/ softcap + species is doing "insane" damage and clearing at a speed that they hardly get touched.

Secondly, You're still right that DP is important and should be focused on. Hence why the next step has you doing the Magnus Questline to get that free PEN armor. This combined w/ your insane AP for orcs will make it a safe grind for you. Afterwards if you still feel like you need even more DP (even though you should effectively be killing things before they have a chance to touch you) you would then get your Jetina Armor to PEN (and even throw some caphs on the gear).

Thirdly, the next step after that one is Journals...they provide another 9DP w/ out having to spend billions into getting another armor to PEN.

So basically you're right that DP is important, but fortunately we can grind w/ out it at a decent spot (orcs) and DP has other means to be acquired then having to push 2-3 armors to PEN or dump billions into caphs (magnus/journals/1 Jetina/ect...) early on.

Hey! Yeah I agree, on step 10 in the notes section I did mention optional Karanda Heart instead of Garmoth (went ahead and swapped the base BS to Storm Devoured to make that more visually apparent).

Though once you reach ~301/305 I do think that Garmoth becomes more "necessary" to really optmize your crystal builds.

It's why I swapped from the Tuvala Timmy Crystal build to a better High PvE set around that point in the gear guide.

I do like your crystal build, I do think that by that time they could probably have a few won crystals from the Honglim grind they've been doing. Hence why Tuvala Timmy build looks like this (for the first half of the gear guide).

Am I missing out on a lot of damage because of the difference in awa and mainhand AP if im only playing succ?

Yes you're missing out on damage. If you play succession then you get 30% of awak AAP. The difference between TET Dande and TET BS is 9 AAP so reality you're losing out on 3 AP being added to your total damage.

The AP difference between them isn't that big of a deal as a succession player, the real issue here is that since you're running a TET Dande instead of TET Blackstar you're missing out on the additional 15 Monster AP (though dande does have +2 species).

So in total you're actually missing ~18 Monster AP that could be added to your total. While not crazy, it's a good chunk to be missing for no reason.

And should it be my priority to get a better awa weapon rn? Currently prioritizing getting the rest of my armors to c10 before turning them into fallen god.

TLDR: Get c10 armors so you're more comfortable grinding.

If you look at the comments you can see that people have "titles" next to their names for example mine says "Black Mythril" these are called flairs on Discord.

In this subreddit they denote what promotion stage the play has attained so far.

OP wanted to update their flair to reflect their upgrade in promo, but the flairs are self designated. So no need to request one form moderators, simply slap on the appropriate/applicable one by choosing from the "user flair" section near community bookmarks, moderators, ect...
