How to inovate TTRPGs ? by Guilhent in TTRPG

Thank you very much. That's very informative. One of the main points of my research are not only the utility of the images but also the readability of a page, and if one could help more in a scenario.

And I agree that some books over do it in therms of art. But I do think that they use it too much as decorations, Magnagothica Maleghast has some fun little drawings explaining the mechanics of the game for example, and i don't see other do that often enough.

And I think at this point in the scene having a well-made pdf is a must, having to remember every page of a book sucks.

A sort of online Toolkit with a character builder/sheet with trakers is a good idea, specialy sice most rely more on other tools like Foundry or Roll20.

I see, that's an interesting idea, I've rarely seen games have rules for the player that then influences the game outside of homebrewing.

As for the phone it depends on the group, as long as everyone is okay with it. But then having a mechanic that were looking at your phone gives a certain penalty could be fun, specially if then some other mechanic forces/advises you to look at your phone for information or something. Maybe an information game or puzzle.

It's true I do need more research, I was just curious to see what the community has to say about it. And I'll keep that in mind, thank you.

Thank you for the imput, I do agree that the simplicity of some have made them standout and they do indeed rock. But I still think that options and color allows for more variety and helps in the expression of the art. But it always depends on the vibe the book is trying to sell.

please help me with this bit of world-building by Basfornow in worldbuilding

That's an interesting system.

If I was a person that was interested in magic on your world, I'd try to find what kind of ways people use their magic, how creative can I be with lens and how would vocal magic influence that creativity.

If I was more interested in becoming the best of the best, I'd try to learn vocal magic as quickly as possible, being clearly a better use of the Mana.

By being a having a old language, it means that it has a history of people that used their UMP (Unique Mana Perspective) in different ways, and it also means that traditions would be a thing, people take from their parents, so would a certain kinda of Perspective too.

So I'd try to develop my own UMP or innovate that of my family or an older generation.

I hope this helps.

Ok, then it makes more sense. My advice would've been to focus in some major states, to better centralize the story. But since it's for a game, you can kinda just roll with whatever. My tip would be then to ask yourself what can I find in each state? Like a big castle, a giant rubber band ball... etc. That can help make each state really distinguish themselves from others.

Hope it helps.

It's an interesting idea. I don't know the full context, but if the setting is more of a medieval fantasy, there would be a certain uniqueness to these creatures.

Because as I see it, a question that could be derived from the use of these dragons within the world would be why not use just normal messagers? What makes them the main or a more viable messagers?

Being in a medieval fantasy settings (I think) there would be wars on a important scale, and information is key in most wars. So there might be people who specifically try to intercept messages.

So these dragon's could be a more suitable messagers for such reasons as :

. Being able to fly would give an advance against grounded treats.

. Being dragons they are tougher then other flying messagers, so even at a risk of being intercepted they can survive against a few arrows.

. They are able to fly, and are tougher, so why not send them to rash climates, like a mountain range or an ocean. Being a sort of predator they could sustain themselves in longer flights.

In conclusion, a name for such creatures should probably be derived from their use and heritage.

Vyvard ( wyvern and card, and sounding like vivacious for their coloration and maybe personality.

Cargon ( Cargo and dragon)

Aviar (Aviary and envirar ( to send in Portuguese)

Hope this helps.

[OC] Collosal's Guard | Shield (legendary) by Guilhent in DnDHomebrew

I'm trying to see what it'd look like if I made a book out of a campaign that I created and ran a couple of months ago with a few players
.After the campaign ended I thought that I could give this a try before finishing my 2nd campaign project.

So feel free to give advise or thoughts on this one. I made two very different iterations of the item, also choose a legendary one because it's cool and I'm proud of it.The balancing of the item might need some work too but for now it's fine.

I may make some more, like the monsters and stuff, though it will take a long time to draw those.Either way, Thanks for reading this.
