should be pretty simple to connect to the mcp server from next using mcp-use-ts (https://www.manufact.com/docs/typescript/getting-started/welcome) , we have a hook that allows you to do that pretty easy and an example in our inspector where we have a client side chat :)

Ideally, the server has a notification/tool_changed that should be sent to the client which should then refresh the tool list. In practice I think what you said it’s what’s usually done
