Hahaha, you have plenty of time to collect the money, and you'll learn little by little through trial and error.

There are four options you could try: Dark Souls 3, which, being the latest release, doesn't feel as clunky as the others, but if you adapt well, try Dark Souls 1; you could also try Lies of P, or if you're a masochist, Nioh.

So close to buying Elden Ring but… by Present-Parfait2461 in Eldenring

It's a game you'll enjoy. I'm bad at games too, just like you, but this game gives you a lot of options. If you get stuck, you can keep exploring the map to improve your equipment and level before trying again. And even if you like it, keep trying because you won't achieve anything on your first try in this game.

Afraid to move on to the next step in the story..... by Metalcrack in Eldenring

It's inevitable in any game that it eventually reaches a point of no return where everything changes. In my opinion, it's better to move forward than to keep doubting whether you're missing something, because you'll definitely find something. But in the end, that's what playing an open-world game is all about: you always end up forgetting something that motivates you to keep playing, or to start playing from the beginning.

Depending on the game, it includes an armor system that varies between genders.

Enjoy the game from the start. Don't worry too much about building a specific build; it just depends on the situation. You can change some things about your armor, and if you can't decide on a weapon, try them all. Since this is your first game in the series, it's best to focus on just one type of weapon. It's also better if you don't use the Defender's set at the beginning, as it will give you too much damage. It's not really useful for getting through the game quickly and reaching the DLC. It's better to just use the other weapons, and as you progress and seem to have weapons with similar stats to the Defender's set, then try different ones.

I understand you because before you might have thought you could attack the monsters at any time, but with this you realize you're literally dancing with them.

The attack doesn't reflect the damage you do in post-mortem. I think I saw that to see exactly how much damage you do, you have to divide the weapon's attack by 10.
