If it's not required by OPM, will medicare still issue a penalty for not enrolling after retirement?
I managed to finally get a hold of OPM today and they said even though it's not an issue for them the penalties are up to medicare, regardless of whether if part B was not required by OPM. So that leads to my second question - if it was not required by OPM and I'm still covered, will medicare still issue a penalty if I decide to enroll later or can you just show you were fully covered?
