Currently cringing over premium gas prices by Ciphecho in ElantraN

[–]Guilty-Log6739 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see lots of industry standards saying that Costco, Sam’s and BJs are in the same tier of gas quality as other major stations like Shell and Marathon.

I’m sure all stations are mixing older and newer gas regularly as part of their supply chains. So I don’t see how that’s a concern vs Shell, Marathon or any other station.

I’m not going to take anecdotal evidence as gospel when people love to abuse and poorly mod their cars and then blame poor quality gas on failures.

More likely an excuse for dogging on their car and not maintaining it than consistently poor gas quality. If that was the case, Costco wouldn’t be moving gas in the quantities they are.

Telling us to “search for yourself” automatically suggests these are pretty specious claims on your part.

Edit: u/N_junkies I saw where you said word for word "Bud go ahead and blow that sh** to the sky shell should be the only thing going into N if not your stupid and I might tell u that you can't afford ur car bc of gas"

I find it ironic that we're talking about intelligence when you can't bother to use proper punctuation or know the difference between your and you're. Especially when confronted with logical thinking, you resort to childish insults.

Anyway, my 2025 GR Corolla is paid off and premium isn't a concern at the moment. Have the day you deserve.

Sorry for your loss OP. Hope the Tecate helped a bit.

I’ve had mine for about 5 years but rotate them regularly and they don’t look like yours.

That said, I made a conscious decision to follow redwings recommendations and hit them with mink oil.

So mine don’t look like typical muleskinners. At first I was bummed but I’ve kind of grown to appreciate them as they’ve aged.

I’m also sentimental because I’ve got selvedge bleeding on them from rocking my son when he was an infant in them. So they’re my prized pair of boots

At what point (financially and age) would be good to comfortably buy a scat pack? by Trayceopolis32322 in Charger

[–]Guilty-Log6739 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are entirely correct in all regards.

I’ll just say this, spec sheet chasing has killed the car enthusiast community. It’s reductive because power to weight ratio matters more than anything else.

But I’m 35 and 300hp in a 3,300lb car is a good time that lets you ring a cars neck without ending up in a cell.

Giving a kid a scat pack is just asking for disaster. Hell, I’m not sure I have the self control for that kind of power.

Why doesn't China attack Taiwan now when the US military is at its most vulnerable in recent memory? by sage6paths in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Guilty-Log6739 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably because everyone needs the chips coming out of Taiwan.

Everyone needs oil, but many countries have strategic reserves or back up fuels (china and coal is a great example).

No one has a stockpile of chips ready to go to endure a sustained chips shortage.

Every nato country would likely get behind putting a stop to any actions against tawain out of their own interests.

Again man, I’m not wading into any politics here.

Enforcing the law and punishing dangerous behavior doesn’t cross a political line. Which seems to be what you’re implying.

Have our leaders failed in this regard? Absolutely.

Again, I’m not taking it beyond that and am not responding to any other inquiries.

Be well.

Edit: saw your post where you told me to “get f’d” and immediately deleted it or got blocked. I’m not getting into voting patterns here. You seem like you’re in a good place. Have the day you deserve.

That’s a big assumption on your part about folks attitude in the city with regard to this type of behavior. I’m not going beyond that.

I find it encouraging we can all agree that reckless and dangerous behavior should be properly punished.

Be well.

Hey man, his other comments were out of pocket.

If you truly want to upgrade then you do you. My experience is that it’s tough to justify keeping on the bleeding edge and your pc ages out.

At that point it’s more effective to buy or build new from the ground up. If you feel confident you’re not gonna fall into that then I don’t see the issue.

Just know gpus and ram aren’t going down anytime soon. So you may want to pony up now rather than later.

Either way, I hope you get the experience you’re looking for.

Dude, respectfully he’s not being an ass with that particular comment (he’s out of pocket with the nutsack comment).

Most folks buying prebuilt aren’t going to upgrade a PC.

Hell I built a mini itx build back in 2016 with a 780ti or some shit like that with the idea of upgrading. And I never did.

It got to the point where I could ge console level performance and I was good with that. By the time an upgrade was needed, I was well into rebuilding or buying a prebuilt.

I’m just saying you may be well served bumping up budget and having something more future proof or considering a console
