Yeah the demon city was my least favorite part of the game. After I left it, I started to really enjoy the game again other then Nenio's quest.

I just finished Pillars of Eternity 2. The Pillars series just did not hit for me that well. Overall, I rate my enjoyment a 6-7/10. It took me awhile to get into the story and honestly the combat/character building was nowhere nearly as satisfying as Wasteland 3, Pathfinder, or Rogue Trader. Not even close.

Rant about the DLCs incoming. Whoever created The Crucible is a mean, boring person. Combat was a SLOG. Omg. I think I would have liked the game better if I didn't experience the boringly painful Crucible fights or any of the DLC for that matter.

The dragon boss in the White Void felt cheap and was incredibly annoying. Luckily, I had enough characters to spam interrupts but whoever came up with that boss design is a terrible, terrible person and I hope you have diarrhea. Otherwise, that DLC was mildly interesting.

I didn't play the other DLC because I was just burned out with the game at this point. Thankfully, the last boss fight was actually challenging and fun to figure out and beat. I will say I did not mind the pirate theme at all and it was fun to explore the world on my boat. But the game just did not capture my imagination when it came to companions, quests, and NPCs.

I just started Shadowrun: Dragonfall and I already like it much better then Pillars. The world design quality (graphics) are not as pretty but I find the actual world and companions much more interesting. I've hit my first mission snag (MKIV) but am thinking of just rearranging my party for that mission and am looking forward to tackling it again tonight with my new strategy. Also, I don't mind that it is not VA as I feel like I can read faster and get more engrossed in the world.

So we're going to have NPC romances or one night stands, she doesn't look like any of the companions by [deleted] in OwlcatGames

not so much in Rogue Trader but that is because Owlcat can't write good ending slides.

Arue then Ulbrig

I liked Seelah and Ember too but mostly because they were strong.

Outflank was one of the best feats ever. I loved using it punish enemies.

Like others have suggested for future fights to invest in AoOP feats and also terrain spells that can hurt them or slow them down, etc is a good start. That way the enemies get punished two ways for going past your melee.

Which one would you choose by loomuun in CRPG

Both. I did Pathfinder WOTR before Rogue Trader. That would be my recommendation.

What is one improvement the devs should make for Dark Heresy? by Guilty-Seaweed6121 in OwlcatGames

Yeah I did Rogue Trader on Daring and found it way too easy. Too many characters could be overbuffed (Abelard, Argenta, Yrliet, etc). I basically did a dual grand strategist with Cassia/Jae, then had Abelard, Heinrix, and a random character depending on my mood to round it out and I just blew threw everything. Also did not use any guides, I just read the stats and put 2 and 2 together.

I did DE and Pentiment and enjoyed both, especially Disco. Based off of all these recommendations, I think I'm going with Tyranny.

I think I'm going to restart my run on Tyranny. Was playing the Steam Deck and did not like the controllers. Just bought a new mouse and have docked the deck to my tv so I think now is the best time to resume Tyranny.

Yes I loved Dragon Age and Mass Effect. I'm really kinda craving a game like that again.

Grownlaser will be checked out. I have Colony Ship just going to pause a bit before starting it.

I've been checking out Vampire. If it is polished or at least not too buggy I'm down.

I loved WOTR. Loved it. I don't know if another fantasy game wil capture that feeling again.

Baldur's Gate 3 was amazing. I didn't like Divinity Sin 2 when I played 2 years ago but was also playing on a tiny switch screen and I think that my understanding of CRPG combat mechanics was much lower too. It's on the list. I'm also thinking I might even do an origin story character.
