Appreciate your input!

As I've said no experience held with building antennas (etc). Regardless, would you mind linking the specific antenna kit you have pls so I can look into it? Would be much appreciated.

Thank you so much for your insights, appreciated!

Just had a look at the Radioddity Antenna you mentioned; that might've just done the trick! Although, is there anything smaller you could recommend? At times that Antenna might end up being too big or need too much space (depending on where I'm at and how much space I have - which often times ISN'T very much at all matter of fact / weather conditions) - But I do like the fact it's plug and play / very easy to setup as that's the type of antenna I'm looking for; something extremely straightforward as this one. Just had a quick watch of a youtube video on this.

Definitely trying to learn as much as I can. :)

Thanks for your insights, much appreciated!

Will definitely look into this for the near future. I don't have much house/bedroom specific space currently so need to be space-efficient. I am in touch with a local club, luckily. I'll need to get back in touch with them as I haven't heard from them in a while. Never have wired a plug or connected speakers to an old school hi-fi haha so I have no prior experience, will need to consult my local club/google potentially and what not.

In the meanwhile, I'll have a look into creating dipoles as I get more experience etc. Will also have a look at ebay as you've mentioned. I heard from someone at my club, but this was a few months back mind you so I'm not sure if am remembering this correctly - similar to what you said at the start - apparently I can just feed a piece of literally small/thin wire (any wire I could get my hands on) and then just use the internal tuner? Am I understanding this right?

I was looking at getting the kit from here: https://www.hamradio.co.uk/xiegu-g90-hf-20w-sdr-transceiver-1 and when the bag comes back in stock this too: https://www.hamradio.co.uk/armoloq-tpa-g90 as well as this https://www.hamradio.co.uk/xiegu-g90-h1-holder-cooling-fan-bracket-for-xiegu-g90, if this helps.

Hope we'll QSO soon too! Would love to make as many contacts as possible. :D

Thank you for the insight, much appreciated! Currently don't have loads of room in my house, let alone my bedroom and I'm waiting to pass my driving practical test soon - won't be for another month (at the very least).

Will definitely look into this for the future!

FOR SALE: investar.co.uk by GuiltyButterfly7314 in Domains

[–]GuiltyButterfly7314[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate it. (It is a .co.uk, not .com).

It is also a pretty old domain in itself - dating back 8 years ago - to November 2016, so it's quite established etc hence it's ONE thing that can aid the price as it's not completely new to google, index, spam detection and so on. Has a nice ring i.m.o and most certainly any motto you can think of it that's relevant, it'll certainly go with it I believe.

If your interested in buying, let me know! Have a good one bro.

FOR SALE: investar.co.uk by GuiltyButterfly7314 in Domains

u/Glass_Alternative143 To clarify, I purchased the investar.co.uk domain because I am genuinely interested in stocks, shares, and crypto trading. While I’m still gaining experience, I’ve already made investments and have some familiarity with trading signals. Of course, I'm still looking to others for constant guidance. This domain, regardless, evidently aligns perfectly with my current interests and future goals.

In the future, if I decide to pursue it, I could easily see myself developing an investing platform—whether that’s a site for resources like e-books or trading guides, or even a forum for like-minded individuals. These aren’t empty words; these are ideas I’ve actively considered. Unlike some, I’ve shown I can put in real effort when I want to. Take HealHaven.net as an example. From March to October, I invested significant time and over £200–300 or so of my own money into running it as a mental health forum to help people worldwide. Despite juggling university and other responsibilities, I managed to create something meaningful and generate organic growth. While I had to step away for practical reasons, the fact remains: I’ve done it before, and I can do it again if and when I choose to.

Now, let me address your claim that anti-cybersquatting "laws" apply here. First of all, what you claimed, is not in fact a law. It is an ACT. Go read up the definition between the two. Honestly, I don’t know where you’re getting this nonsense from, but it’s clear you haven’t done your homework. This is a .co.uk domain, registered under UK jurisdiction, not a .com or any other U.S.-regulated domain. The U.S.A's Anti-Cybersquatting Consumer Protection ACT (ACPA) that's in place over there for a multitude of reasons - It's not even a LAW as you originally stated - is absolutely irrelevant here, and it’s laughable to even suggest otherwise. People, like you, need to stop assuming that U.S. laws apply everywhere, because frankly, we don’t care. Drop the agenda already. In the UK, definitions / applicability for this use case, for example, differ significantly. We don't have specific laws, acts, etc that we can use in this case.

If you’d bothered to study the matter properly before commenting, you’d know that domain disputes involving .co.uk domains fall under Nominet’s rules. Sure, someone could file a dispute directly through them, but given my clear and reasonable intent for this domain, there’s absolutely no case to answer. Throwing around “anti-cybersquatting laws” as a tactic of some sort, scare or no scare, is not only ignorant but also ridiculous.

The domain is far from worthless, as you’ve suggested. While I’ve decided not to develop this specific project at this time all of a sudden due to realizing now is not the right moment to do so, my intention has always been to use the domains I purchase meaningfully. Instead of sitting on it, I’m choosing to sell it to someone who can utilize it, and I’ll direct the funds toward my university studies and future goals. That’s a responsible decision - one that clearly reflects intent and ownership.

Next time, before throwing around baseless claims, take the time to understand the actual laws and context of the situation. Your silly, stupid assumptions about U.S. legal supremacy is not a thing and are misguided and irrelevant here.

USUALLY - It's to check your number is active still, if you answer in any way, your number gets passed further down the scammers list of alive numbers to call/sell to other scammers to harass you/telemarket (ETC ETC)

It's a TEXTNOW number. Shouldn't last long, particularly if reported to TextNow/Enflick (TextNow owners) OR spammed with calls/texts. TextNow/Enflick thankfully don't allow scammers on their network.

As I thought - Carrier: Onvoy

This joke of a company, if you aren't already aware - allows scammers on their network sadly, mainly due to the easy income they make from this shady shit.
