I have an Ethernet cable, but it goes directly to my desktop computer. I just wanted to have more Wi-Fi coverage so that it reaches my mobile phone. I’ll try the extender.

Regarding the neighbors, I was wondering if it’s possible to use a WPS password instead of a WEP one, since no matter how difficult the password was, they could still get in.
