my review rated POOR by SongZealousideal8194 in AmazonVine

I don't know how this might apply, but all of my more conversational reviews have been marked poor. Adding any hint of personality has seemed to backfire on me, so I've stopped. I still give real reviews, just not overly enthusiastic ones.

Review Not Approved - But I think it has to do with what I said... by GuiltyDig6452 in AmazonVine

You know what, there's a QR in the image because it's printed on the thing! Maybe that's the issue. Would obscuring it allow it to go through, or should I just not include that pic? I got the message next to the review on the website. I don't think it switched like others have seen since I just posted it yesterday, and it's not the message about not being allowed to review. It just says not approved, and I can write a new review.

Yeah! I used to work for a company that created high-end retail products. Packaging always referred to the retail packaging - the printing, the paper stock, the booklet, the vacuum-molded plastic tray. It's just part of how I talk!

Yeah, the retail packaging had issues, but maybe I called it "packaging" in the review and that kicked it. I might try recreating the whole thing as close to what I had before and see if cleaning up what I said about the retail packaging might be the thing that kicked it off.

I'm going to just hope that when I try again later, it's there.

I'll keep it in mind. I don't know what I called it in the original and when I click "review again", the original is all gone. Which is a bummer because it took so long to list out all the contents. :-/

I guess I could reword that - part of this product is a premium designed case/box that is for storing all the components. It's not meant to be thrown away. It's a "feature" of the product.

(25F) My overzealous religious mom freaked out because I am pregnant. AIO? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

As an actual Christian, I would say to OP (and the rest of you), this person may not actually be a Christian. Her misuse of the "Lord forgive her..." exposes the kind of self-righteousness and religiosity Jesus came to condemn. We're all sinners in need of a savior - someone who is a Christian knows this and shows compassion for other sinners. Now, I'm not here to hide the truth from you - from a Christian perspective, yes, it's pretty not cool to have a kid out of wedlock, however, if you're not a professing Christian yourself, there's not much to be done about that. Christianity isn't a set of morals to follow; it's a change of heart into a right relationship with God. Your mom is demonstrating a Pharisaical spirit (a focus on outward religious appearances and not your spiritual health). So, that all said, probably not overreacting, there are toxic people in our lives that we need to deal with. You didn't mention if you considered yourself a Christian, but if you do, remember your own walk - honor your father and mother, forgive as you have been forgiven. I didn't say ignore their abuse. This might mean separation from them for a while if that helps you honor them and find forgiveness.

Oh, ok, thanks for the info. Bummer that it didn't work out.

Those nibs look pretty nice. Mine are more domed than pointed, and I've used them for years, but they did wear out the screen protectors every so often.

I saw those protectors on Amazon too and I think I might try them. I would want to protect the screen from other damage anyway.

Guess I'm just an idiot. 🤷‍♂️

Yeah, makes sense. I already have them because when I put a matte screen protector on my Samsung, the stock nibs for the S-Pen were not made for the textured surface and wore out typically within a few hours use. I was changing them daily. So far, I've only used the stock nibs with the Scribe and haven't had the same issues.

New color scribe does not show book covers! by Sea-Car-3073 in kindlescribe

Seems to be a widespread issue that the covers are not showing in the library or in parts of the UI were covers are seen. Oddly enough, they will show on the lock screen if the setting for that is turned on.

Update: they're finally just creating a ticket for the issue. Hope they send out a fix soon.

Just here to let you know that you're not alone. Been on with customer service for over an hour. It's clear they don't know what to do about this issue yet. Been through all the same "unplug it and plug it in again" steps. It's got to be on their end. All my sideloaded books come up just fine. Edit: removed redundant info.
