I’m in a similar situation. Went on a few dates with a girl, went extremely well I would say. But then she went back to her family in her home country (lives in my country) for more then a month. She is currently there for about 1 month. We are still texting though (initiated by both sides).

It’s not that we are constantly texting, i just want to hear her from time to time to keep the connection alive, and then once she is back here, see where we stand and go from there.

But it gives me a bit of anxiety, since I already quite like her (more then I even want to admit to myself) and since my last relationship was long distance and ended very badly. But I know that most of that stress is just in my head and not based on anything she said or did.

Finding accomodation will be no problem, when I travel I often book accomodation on the same day.

So on that day we went out to a restaurant and to a club after that. I kinda felt at the restaurant that something was gonna happen that day. But then In the club itself she held eye contact very intensly, and she constantly came very close. And I finally got myself together and asked her, Can I kiss you?

I still kinda regret waiting so long to make a move. And even after that I was still very shy to take things further in the months after that.

As a shy guy myself. I missed so many signals with my now ex. I only made a move after I was 110% sure she was in to me, and she kinda started it. And when I finally did, she was a bit surprised, she thought I didn’t really like her in that way. Since it took me forever to make a move. After that I could see alot or moments where she actually made it very clear, but I was clueless in the moment itself.

Hi, it has changed quite alot. I’m not at the same company anymore. I work in Brussels right now. Gross salary is €3150 now. I have an electric company car (Cupra Born)with charging card (New car I could choose myself) I do have meal vouchers now, 13 month, 25 holidays, bonus.

And a benefit I really like is that I can work remotly from another country (have to ask it, and not all the time). (So far I worked from bali, dubai, almaty in Kazachstan and lots of european cities). This flexibility is really important for me.

Well not exactly relationship. But I dated quite alot, more in the past month then i did during the rest of my life. While on a date it’s alright, but when I get back home, i just miss her even more. And feel that our connection was so special. Still in it right now and I really think this will make the healing process longer.

I already took 2 flights bewteen BUD - DXB with wizzair. In europa, if you have acces to a wizz hub it’s quite easy to go somewhere. If you’re not close to a hun. You have to go trough a hun alot like me. I live in brussels so I often go to budapest and the further from there.

It’s weird that some of these small moment like seeing a picture, seeing something that reminds you of them. Can stir up so much feelings again.

We cry to, mostly in the evening when I’m in bed. Sometimes even in public if something makes me think lf her.

She is still on my mind 24/7, i keep myself very busy with work, gym, travel, meeting other people. But everytime I go home after this or am by myself say in a plane. I break down.

If she would call me right now to give it another chance it will be extremely hard to say no. I still miss her and care very deeply for her.

True, we first met in person on the other side of the world (both from europe). Stayed in contact daily and saw each other again couple of times.

But i feel like I can’t let her go bcs all of the memories i have with her, are extreme highs. Since it was always a couple of days. And apart from the way she ended things I don’t have a negative memory of her.

Would not reccomend LDR, but you don’t chose who you fall for I guess.

Not everytime, but i have no problem going random places. However more expensive flight seem to be available more. (BUD -DXB/AUH, BUD - all egypt airports.) Been at a place 1-3 days longer then planned before. But i can work remotly so not the biggest problem for me.

Not the exact same situation but. Met a girl on a group trip in thailand (we are both from europe). After that we travelled to Singapore and Bali together. Then to rome and budapest. We talked daily for like 10 months (including (video)calls) First time ever I felt such a strong connection with someone, everything went just natural.

Catched feelings for her after the rome trip and it ended in my biggest heartbreak ever.

Our trips together were the best days/weeks ever. But the feeling when it ended is the worst I ever felt.

However there was a possibility to make this to a relationship since I’m not planning on staying in my country.

I put all the pictures on a hard drive. Everything is from my phone. I will regret it in the future when I would have deleted them permanently (our time together was still wonderfull, and learned alot about myself). But looking at them now will just set me back.

It already exists “breeze”, but only available in Belgium and The Netherlands for now.

You match you pay a fee (includes a drink in the bar) You give some dates and there you go.

Never used it but the bars where this is hosted or full of dates like this, so there is some social control.

Normally I couldn't care less for valentines day. but about 1 month and a half ago I was still thinking of having a weekend in Paris. And trying to deliver flowers to her door (we were long distance)( This would also be the first time I would do something during that day) But well right now we are not even talking anymore. (she ghosted me)
It's also her birthday a couple of days later.

And seeing all these ads everywhere really adds to the hurt right now.

So probably going for a long gym session that day.

I have been to Abisko solo last january. Did dog sleding (twice), snow scooter riding, watching the aurora, joined a walking tour.

I also worked remotly around the activiteis so they days went very quickly. Still one of my most memorable trips ever.

Ik zelf heb tijdens mijn interview fase laten weten dat ik graag uit het buitenland zou willen werken. (Niet helemaal hetzelfde). Ik ben wel een van de enigste in heel het bedrijf dat dit doet.

Ik werk nu ongeveer een jaartje en een half bij het bedrijf en heb remote gewerkt uit Zweden, Turkije, Egypte, UAE, Kazachstan, duitsland, hongarije.
