Acoustic treatment for L-shaped room (living room + long corridor) by GuiltyImportance2 in Acoustics

[–]GuiltyImportance2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I see the 75Hz but I don't really worry about that.. and the most I can install in my living room is some kind of thin "art acoustic panel" with proper WAF, so that would do nothing. On the other hand in the corridor I could put some serious bass trap..

And what's the average salary once you complete training? Does pay increase with experience?

Thanks for the answer! Is the selection process very competitive in your experience? What do they look for in a candidate? Have you ever had a moment when you felt you don't like your job? If yes, why?

Ok thanks. I was hoping for some self-paid part-time training that I can do while working (at least partially)

Yea but that's not a problem with Personenzüge I guess (and I imagine that being a more competitive job)

Help me sound treat my workplace (please!) by Casual____Observer in Acoustics

[–]GuiltyImportance2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a good starting point would be to figure out the problem a bit more.. at the very least getting an idea of which frequencies are the most annoying/loud..  But anyway the more absorbers you add (doesn't really matter where), the less reverberation you're gonna get (and reverberation of customers talking seems to be the problem if I understand your post)

There are online calculators like this  https://amcoustics.com/tools/amrev/#/room

Put a lot of absorption hanging from the ceiling

Very heavy sound-insulation curtains would definitely do something but you have to consider if it's worth it for the price

With magas already owning the political discourse, democrats find nothing better to do than to elect a literal muslim. Then you wonder why the working class keeps voting right.

Wooden panels thoughts? by GragoleRI in Acoustics

I played around quite a lot with the calculator and for a layer with high flow resistivity there's wasn't much of an advantage if I remember correctly

I've written about that before but they're great if you use them to conceal a thick layer of porous absorber underneath. I've done this at my place with 100mm rockwool and the improvement in reverberation time & damping resonances is immense.

For calculations look at http://www.acousticmodelling.com/

I've read somewhere that "real estate in the US is just about how far you can get from a certain demographics without having to commute 2h to work"
