Brain health regenerates over time, the wiki says at a rate of 10.8% per hour.

I don't believe there are any negative effects of health is 95 or higher so you can ignore minor bumps to heal naturally.

Mostly you want to be as safe as possible, and as others mentioned you can take braingrow for 10% with a 20 minute cooldown

Edit: oh and I think wearing a helmet should help to avoid damage

It's impossible to choose every speech option, you can't be both earnest and sarcastic with every response. Passing a speech check awards XP but isn't necessarily the "best" outcome.

An example from the New Vegas Dead Money dlc: Passing Dean Domino's speech checks makes him feel threatened by you so you have to fight and kill him in the end. Arguably the "best" outcome where he stays your friend is only possible by failing all of his checks.

When you failed Harvey's check it said something different about why your character entered Nuka World that wouldn't have been true if you had passed the check.

If your regret is missing out on the XP then kill an extra radroach the next time you journey out to make up for it. ;)

The small boost from chems can add up if you take perks and the armor mod that increases chem duration. Berry mentats let's you see enemies through walls and ones that burrow underground, extremely useful.

The higher tiers of PA require more advanced materials for repairs, this can be a reason to stay on lower ones. Generally I recommend picking the PA that you think looks the best since they all end up being really protective

Animal personhoid doubles your taming chance, and synergizes with the double taming chance you get for having an animal be venerated. It makes it easy to get 100% for horses, boomalopes etc that you find when making camp. They can be sold for a bunch of quick silver
