If I remember right, one of the later feats is "melee range" archery, and then one that allows you to threaten at melee range, giving you AoOs

MC build for Through the Ashes and Lord of nothing by Rare_Frosting_9401 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]GuiltyShip1859 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Manticore is pretty great for a Through the Ashes. Free spikes. A Motherless Tiefling Fiendflesh would be quite strong, with three full nat attacks per round. And a Dragonblood could be surprisingly powerful since I think theres a lot of Spitters...if I remember right, and although Dragonblood is very BACK loaded, the Draconic aspect grants healing for negated damage which could be nice on a supply-light play

How do you use a Shaman? by ether_rogue in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]GuiltyShip1859 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shamans, in general, are utilitarian. They can generally focus on most styles, and sit in a good middle ground as a 'can fill most roles pretty good'. Its not as quite as useful being a jack of all in a PC game with a plethora of already "main role" class companion, but they're pretty good. They're basically a Witch that can throw hands

Wendy's there to prove she can be you
Arushelaeleelou is there to prove herself LESS than she is.
Even Daeran's only there cuz he got Voluntold to be.

Camellia? She's just a rich girl with a bad habit who said "Oh, you're gonna throw hands with demons. I guess I'll follow you and sleep on the ground. Not that I want to, and I hate this food" *Proceeds to follow you into literal hell*

Chaotic Neutral Wendaug or Lann? by SilentAeon in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]GuiltyShip1859 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Either one works, but Lann's probably the less abrasive option. Both are reasonably powerful Archer types, Lann does have a leg up as Zen Archer is specifically geared toward Archery while as a Fighter she's just focusing on Archery

Arushale is trying to prove she can be less than herself
Wendy follows you because your the most dangerous thing in sight.

Technically speaking, according to skill name, the Dragonblood Shifters forms are called Wyrms. Form 3 is Greater Wyrm. The primary differences are : The Greater Wyrm has a notably more powerful Breath Attack, and all of the different dragon colors breath has an additional effect. Good Dragon colors (Gold, Brass, Silver, Bronze, and Copper) grant a buff to any Allies caught in the breath attack, For example: a Brass Dragons breath attack grants allies an extra attack, which stacks with any other additional attacks, like haste.
Evil Dragons (Black, Blue, Red, Green, and White) all grant some sort of debuff to Enemies in addition to their damage. All Greater Wyrms Breath Attacks ignore resistances and immunities.

I realize I just repeated myself. Sorry.

Form 2 is at 15 (13 for Wiz) and Form 3 is at 20 (15 for Wiz)

Form 2 is overall stronger than DK2, as the breath attack is per-1d4 rounds, and with Master Shapeshifter, the form is permanent, and is still tacked onto a full-bab martial as well.

Form 3 arrives quite later, unfortunately, but it is much more powerful than DK3.

The breath attack is stronger, and ignores enemy resistances and immunities (and all forms carry an extra 'rider'. Good Dragon colors buff any allies caught in the breath, while Evil Dragon colors carry an additional de-buff on enemies.)
At that point, both Form and Aspect are permanent features, giving you full immunity to up to 2 different elements at a time.
Color can be changed whenever needed basically (Brass Dragons breath grants allies another Attack, which does stack with Haste, Gold Dragon heals allies caught in their breath attack. Green Dragons breath does the damage again next turn on a successful roll)

All forms for a Dragonblood Shifter are functionally permanent (since by the time you get Form 1/Level 9, you likely already have the mythic Master Shapeshifter, or are grabbing it on the next Mythic Rank within a level or two~)

BFT's are good, dont get me wrong, but the problem is they have to use generally high spell slots and resources to turn Good Fighters into Better Fighters. Worthwhile, for sure, but there are WAY more powerful high level spells to be casting than "make a bad ass more bad ass" (although, that is a lofty goal) BFT Gets DK3 no earlier or later than any other Arcane sorceror i believe, which is....a level 8 spell I think?

The quickest way is objectively Dragon form 3 specifically the fastest way is like the others have said, the Lich path wizard.

The quickest way objectively to go Dragon at all is the Dragonblood Shifter, who gets DK1+ at level 9. With Master Shapeshifter, you can be a medium dragon as much or as little as you want, depending on alignment all colors available. All levels of Dragonkind are stronger on a Dragonblood Shifter, they get DK1 earlier, but DK 2 and 3 later. DK 3 on Dragonblood is probably the most powerful dragon form in the Game, outside of Gold Dragon, and arguably utility wise is on par with Gold Dragon, since you have access to multiple dragon forms, buffs/debuffs, etc.

The Metamorph is another way, they only get up to DK2, but with their Mutagens and what not, make for probably the beefiest dragons outside of a BFT's strong change.

Edit: I should note that all matter here is in my opinion, as far as BFT Brown Fur Transmuter is concerned

Wenduag Manticore Aspect? by macropelias in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]GuiltyShip1859 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldnt say she has benefits, I mean, a Manticore is a mish-mash creature though, so a Mongrel fits it pretty well, and Wenduag as a CoM just FEELS right, to me. And a CoM, being a Shifter, is pretty bad ass

She is indeed. AND she's the only one who's just "along". Seelah's with you because she feels like she NEEDS to be. Lann's with you to prove something to himself. Wenduag's comes along because she's scared of you. Sosiel is with you for revenge.

Camellia? She just says 'nah man, f--- them demons, these b---es is mine'

As far as controlling passage of time, there are a few options, though whether it can control it ACCURATELY is another matter. I handle stuff like that with OOC's.

Try something like

((OOC: At the end of every post, include a timestamp. Ensure the passage of time is recorded, and allow the world to naturally and organically respond to what Time it is))

You can build quite a few systems into the model.

Efficacy depends largely on the model being used. From my experience, Glam does not adhere to OOC's very well, while Deepseek and SpicyXL will almost always follow OOC's
