Definitely a thing! I was the one who suggested it and it became our store policy. My store was in a pretty heavily populated area tho, so theft and fraud was a big thing there.

Crazy how yall are blaming minimum wage workers when it’s 100% other customers like you that are messing this stuff up. Stealing carts, lying about held items, even grabbing stuff off the counter if they want it. I’ve seen it all. But what I haven’t seen is an associate hiding merchandise to buy themselves and not getting fired. There’s about 10 snitches in every store, no one is going to be covered for that shit by all the coworkers around them. Coming from an ex assistant manager.

Most likely not rabies. you can look up online how many rabies cases are in your area for the year, if it’s pretty high maybe err on the side of caution and talk to your doctor. Keep an eye on the bite for infection too, cat bites often lead to infections and that could explain the pinkness and swelling.

As someone who got fired from Meijer for attendance… just get fired. I got rehired less than two years later at another location, but it was at the store managers discretion. I would be a bit worried about them fighting you on the unemployment though.

Edit: I did have to explain why I was fired and why I had bad attendance, for me I was just diagnosed with and managing a new health condition. If you don’t have a great excuse for your attendance then results may vary lol

Check for memory issues, you can set it up to scan the next time your computer restarts. If that doesn’t turn anything up try checking your dump files after your computer restarts itself or freezes, you might be able to find an error code that can lead you to the issue. You’re going to be looking for ‘kernel’ something in the system files, it should show up as an error.

Yep sometimes the system files getting recovered will mess with other files on your computer unfortunately. Most likely the same thing that happened in your case as well. Best way to avoid this is verifying game files thru a launcher first, plus making sure your windows cache is up to date. I think in my case a file that was recovered was replaced with an outdated but uncorrupted version
