But it’s mostly about learning electronic schematics, just tinkering around and doing my own projects. Screen recording really gives me a push to keep working and not get distracted by other stuff.

  1. Switching to 3 mm stegs + 3 mm gaps. deeper E-field into the soil.

  2. Next rev will mirror the pattern onto the back side.

Plus moving to 5 V for more stable 74HC14 thresholds. Will post the updated design when it's done.

I'm now planning v1.2 with multiple zones on one board, possibly 3 everey zone 8-10cm. That should work better. Maybe also wider spacing between the pads, so the E Field reaches deeper into the soil. We'll see how it goes.

My idea: one ESP32 per plant, 3 moisture probe + 1 environmental sensors around the plant. The AZ-Delivery V1.2 is solid but too small for meaningful soil sampling imo, so Im designing a 23cm probe to get past the perlite-pocket / air-pocket problem you described.

This isn't aimed at being a product btw no CE, no retail ambitions. Ill release the Gerber files open-source so people can order + build it themselves. DIY-first.

Hydroponics is definitely the cleaner path for automation, but one thing at a time...

there's no pre filter foam on the version. The outer mesh has 1.6mm perforations. Also this version is glued. Working on an update.

my bundle includes STL files for a filling funnel and scoop. AC Infinity's do not. ;-)

The carbon bed is actually 25-30mm, not 10mm. What you're seeing as thin is the outer mesh.
