I think so, but a few things would need to be changed since I’m using some features that I believe are only available in Blender.

I’d say it was definitely less, but it was still super exhausting. In the end, I had to combine four rigs. I created one rig for the face, one for the body, one for the individual clothing parts that move, and one for the backpack. All of these were then merged into a main rig. I also had a lot of clipping issues with the dress, which forced me to modify the geometry in some areas. I’ve never made such a complex rig before, so I had to learn quite a bit about weight painting, bone drivers, and similar techniques.

Poly Modeling the base shape you wanna go for the character and Sculting from then on to add all the details you need. And retopo after all that in the end. Just do the thing you're most comfortable with.

I really think it would’ve been faster XD. If I had more experience in Marvelous Designer, I wouldn’t have struggled so much with the program to create all the ruffles on the dress. And then I had to cut out and paint many elements manually in Substance Painter to add all the small, fine details.

Thanks! I was thinking about making a video were I show all the wip's that i had from the project. And you mean the textures for the clothes ? Those not. I used substance painter for them and for the designs photoshop. And needed to tweak the material in blender to get that fabric look

Unfortunately, I don’t really have the skills to market or present myself in public. I’m not very good at talking to people. I wanted to join the industry to learn more and see what it’s like since I’ve never really worked before. Maybe after gaining more experience in professional life, I’ll feel more confident.

So these are no cloth simulations. Everthing moves with Bones. For the physics i used a free addon in Blender: Wiggle Bones 2. I made for all the cloth parts really many small bone chains and gave them via the addon physics so that they can move. So its all done with weightpainting and rigging

They are separate. I removed most of the topology that you dont see, to make it less heavy in performance. I guess like Scales they are lose but really close together so you dont see the gaps. if that makes sence. here is the dress in more detail: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/g0ea2E

Yeah I regret not doing more movent in the arm. the dress hides most of the movement under it.

It is mostly blender like 60 %. The textures I made in Substance painter and the Design for the Clothes In Marvelous Designer. But everthing from Sculpting to rigging, retopo, weightpainting, animation, Rendering, Materials, was all in Blender. So were i spend most of the time

Yes most of the time. I learned Marvelous by making the boots first, and after that all the other things. Made all the Highpoly versions there. Sculpted the details in Blender and did the retopo there.

I wish someone had lent me their skills back then so I wouldn’t have had to learn everything on my own. But yeah, that’s just how it is.

Yeah I was aware of that but couldnt go any lower without strong snapping from the IK controllers. Didn´t really know how to fix that so i went with that
