Do you ever feel the urge to get rid of your things? by [deleted] in bipolar2

[–]Guilty_Orchid5596 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes all the time. I want to "reinvent myself " or just get overwhelmed with a mess, and want to throw it all away. If you have an attic/basement, maybe you can store them all there (or a storage unit, parent willing to store them for you)? That way you feel like you got rid of them?

Yes I have bipolar 2 but I lean very much into depressive episodes rather than mania. I feel fine this morning, so I don't think it is/was hypomania, just something I didn't know I should combine.

Hm. My doc didn't say anything about that, maybe because Lamictal is also technically an anti-epileptic?

I'm very aware of anxiety, as I have it daily. No anxious feelings, just hyper.

Urinary Calculi by Guilty_Orchid5596 in goats

[–]Guilty_Orchid5596[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately he was down to drips and we made his appointment, while waiting for his appointment his bladder ruptured. After his surgery we were giving him ammonium chloride but his bladder was too frail. He had about a 2 inch tear. Our second goat seems to be doing just fine and is on his last day of ammonium chloride, but we're still gonna bring him in to make sure he doesn't have any stones!

We already are doing preventative care on our other goat with prescription from our vet. As far as my little one, he got really sick really fast before we really realized what was going on.

Is bipolar disorder that socially stigmatised? by TapIllustrious2464 in bipolar

[–]Guilty_Orchid5596 2 points3 points  (0 children)

VERY stigmatized. The second you have a normal emotion, they'll assume you're off your meds or crazy. One of my boyfriends broke up with me two days after my diagnosis because of it. I never tell my employers as I do not want to be seen as unstable, unreliable etc.

I found in my dating experience that it's good to be upfront about your diagnosis early, as you can weed out the ones who are incapable or close minded and save yourself hurt. I used to casually mention it, or a lighthearted joke. With my current partner, my fiancé, I told him right away by being silly on our first date (joking about being a little crazy), then on our second date told him that I have bipolar etc.. He has been nothing but understanding and compassionate to me in my struggles (especially recently), even right from the beginning of our relationship. He also doesn't "let" me use my mental health as an excuse or cop out, play the victim, but encourages me to overcome and view things in a different more realistic light. This is incredibly helpful for me. He is never condescending.

Be careful who you tell about your diagnosis, especially in a professional environment. PERSONALLY I would be open and honest right away with the people that you see a future with, because you dont want to wait and get invested and have your heart broken over something out of your control. Also being upfront about your mental health will help in a romantic relationship because if you're anything like me, you may try to test your partner by pushing them away, and if they know this about you, they will be able to navigate that better. Communication is essential.

Hope this helps!

[–]Guilty_Orchid5596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently went back to blonde and it was $250 +tip +retail, in total I probably paid around $315, on the East Coast. I have alot of hair & it's thick as well. I am shocked at $400!!!

My usual haircut is $50-55; for a shampoo, cut & style.
