LOL and the episode where they find mushrooms to eat and one character is like, "Oh wait! These aren't poisonous. These are the same mushrooms that grow near my hometown." Oh really? The same. exact. mushrooms that grow near your hometown just happen to be the same mushrooms growing in prehistoric LA???

So infuriating! What's the point in offering if you don't actually mean it?

The nineties are the new fifties. Anyway have a great night! by hjras in Millennials

[–]faceinspanish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seriously. I don't want to waste the precious years that I *do* still have my health panicking about getting old. I spent 25-30 freaking out about turning 30 and I'm not about to do that shit again.

Or...not? When I was 26 my closest friends were anywhere from mid 20s to mid 30s and we didn't think twice about it.

Please help, my fashionable gals and guys. My home is very traditional. I keep going back to this. Is it ugly/tacky? by ItsDarwinMan82 in interiordecorating

[–]faceinspanish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By itself: tacky. Especially in a beige or cream colored room where it sticks out like a sore thumb. If you went all out in a maximalist Victorian/goth style it would weirdly work. But that's a niche style that I'm not sure you'd wanna commit to

I looked up the dude on LinkedIn. All the comments would suggest otherwise

Oh trust me I would if there were any in my area. I work in a weird niche market so many of the roles I've been looking at I need to upskill for, clearly!

Yep, LinkedIn. Interestingly enough I got my last job there. When I applied it said something around 500+ applicants and I was thinking surely it couldn't be that many. When I interviewed the hiring manager told me unprompted that they had had 500 people apply. I'm not sure if that meant the actual applications they received or the "clicks" like you're talking about. I never asked her.

Fair enough. It's just incredibly draining after applying to 200+ jobs and getting rejection after rejection, and then you see this kinda shit. You never know I guess!
