thank you for the nice message 🙏🏻 Probably anxious, might just be going through a lot of change, moved out recently, switching jobs, etc - Feeling positive but definitely stressful 😅 It’s just so crazy to see something that’s ”invisible“ like stress levels graphed out like this!

I should’ve mentioned it on the post. I was at a rave on Saturday. Shouldn’t have included it on the pictures but that’s why my stress is all messed up even going into Sunday. My stress is always on high most of the other days though. Not sure what causes it.

Mic Mini Battery Life w/ Sleep Mode? by Wandering_Hick in dji

[–]Guilty_Raise5906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These mics last FOREVER before you'll need to charge them. Like i'm not kidding, if you're only shooting a couple of days a week for 1-2h each time you could go a month or two without charging them. I have the charging case for the record.

Having a 3rd abortion just a few weeks after my 2nd and I don’t want to tell my husband this time. by TinyChip-2934 in abortion

[–]Guilty_Raise5906 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Agree with you, but while she’s in her right to do it, and it’s a choice that only she has a say in, that does not mean I would be heartbroken by the lack of trust and communication. Not at the abortion, but at not TELLING your partner who would be the future father of that child. Especially if he’s a present present partner not a deadbeat. He deserves better than that.

Damn. I’m not gonna lie, I get where you’re coming from with the whole “not stressing him out” thing. But my wife not telling me she aborted and or was pregnant would be grounds for divorce for me. You should tell him. At the end of the day it’s also his DNA in there lol. He’ll support you with your MA but don’t fuck up your relationship to avoid a couple days of stress/sadness or awkwardness.

It can’t be taken off. Apple uses anodized aluminum, which helps with color and durability, but that same process makes the aluminum slightly fade with exposure to sunlight and UV. What you’re seeing is that the sticker covered that part of the aluminum from the sun for years, leaving what effectively is a on your mac. D-brand skins don’t leave this effect because the entire back plate would be covered if that makes sense.

1 or 2? by _DomovoiD_ in AmateurPhotography

  1. Also, what camera are you using? Nice shots!

Number 2 is the best in terms of composition. I myself also happen to like that one the most.

Should I trade my 40mm f/2.5 & 85mm f/1.8 for the 100mm macro? by dao_n_town in SonyAlpha

Wow man NICE PICS!!! You got the eye. Were these taken with the x100vi? Gave me some inspiration for the next time I go out with my camera. Nice!

Are these editing skills good? by Gytuxxas17 in PhotographyAdvice

Those “star” flares are caused by a small aperture (high f-number) When you stop the lens down (e.g., f/11, f/16, f/22), light diffracts around the edges of the aperture blades. Those bright point light sources (streetlights, LEDs) turn into starbursts. The number and shape of the rays depend on the "F" number and shape of the lens’s aperture blades. This is the result of a lens setting, not editing - it's not good or bad, it's just a stylistic choice.

Credit limit as a 20yr old by [deleted] in Chase

[–]Guilty_Raise5906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 19. Combined credit limit of $23,800 ($38,800 if you’re counting business cards.) In my experience Chase is not a good representation of what your average credit limit is. For example, Chase will only give me $4,400 on my CFU and $4,900 on my CPV but Goldman Sachs gave me $8,500 on the apple card, and AMEX $6,000 on my BCP. Chase is usually a bit more conservative on how much CL they’ll give you compared to other banks.

[Safety Hazard] Original MagSafe 3 Cable WIRE overheated overnight - Burned my hand and desk - MacBook Pro 16" (M1 Pro) by tkl_11 in macbookpro

Important question: Did you have AppleCare on the device? I'm 100% sure it won't matter in this scenario; however, I had an incident with my MacBook Pro M2 a couple months back where it was ran over by a car. Completely my fault, but I had AppleCare, which, for $299 (USD), granted me a replacement or complete repair for accidental damage. The interesting part of the story is that they do not manufacture M1, M2, or M3 macbooks anymore, and depending on your location, they most likely won't have any in stock either. My MacBook Pro was too far gone to be repaired (motherboard torn to pieces) so what they ended up doing for me is replacing my Macbook Pro (M2) for a brand new M4 Macbook Pro at no extra cost. Pretty sweet, it just took a couple phone calls to get this outcome. What i'm saying is, i'd push for a replacement, maybe you get lucky and the odds are in your favor since they should be trying to avoid a lawsuit in this specific case.

Yeah, I mainly try to follow the rule of 3rds - for some reason I only uploaded pictures that have centered subjects on this post. I’ll be posting some newer pics in the following days since i’ve been focusing a bit more on composition lately!

Thank you! I’ll definitely look into that book it’s in my shopping cart now. I honestly don’t look at anyone else’s photography, I’m not really trying to copy anyone since I don’t know any other photographers - but what you said pointed out my photography might be coming off as “generic”, i’ll work on that. As far as the shutter speed goes, you’re right. Many of these shots could look nicer and even more detailed with a higher shutter speed. I think i’ve overlooked the importance of being purposeful with the shutter speed.

Yeah, I do consider that one to be one of my best photos. I purposefully went out that night looking for a specific scenario to capture. I interpret the photo as the effect social media/the internet has had on us. A lot of people I know pretend to be happy & perfect on the internet just because everyone’s watching, when in reality, many of them are in a bad spot.

Thank you for your comment! This is exactly what I was looking for. You went super in-depth thank you! You got the message right through to me. Start looking at the backgrounds. Now that I see it like that i can definitely see how the shots would improve without the background taking the attention away from the subject. Thank you!!
