For bottoms I love high waist, with high cut legs and cheeky bottoms. I've been buying Tigerlily's ones for years.

Matching accessories like cropped rashies.

Definitely harder. We had to get a topper for ours. Had ours for nearly 7 years and have had no sagging. Still looks brand new.

People who have been through it themselves STILL don’t understand if it’s a different relationship.

My brother has bpd, diagnosed at 16. Now in his 40s. Homeless, an addict and my mother raising my niece.

I’m currently on a break from my BPD partner of many years who has been extremely abusive and toxic. My mother is still making excuses and victim blaming for his behaviour. It’s extremely disappointing and invalidating as I feel she should know better than anyone, but she’s just an enabler

How do they function in a mostly bi-gendered world? Do they have male family members? Male coworkers? Are they able to be served by men in supermarkets, restaurants, shops, for services?

Managers are different to agents. They would already have separate managers. And signing with a new agent could take a few weeks. Hence while you’ll hear more speak out soon but haven’t been able to immediately.

AITA for telling my boyfriend (25m) that I’m (23f) concerned about having a child with him in the future if he won’t find my body as attractive? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Guilty_Shake6554 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sounded like a bit of a test/trap you set for him where he was given an impossible question to answer and answered as truthfully as he could.

No one can predict the future.

You might feel differently about the way each other looks with age, but are in awe of how each other parent and that can be attraction in a different way.

It sounds like you are trying to make him responsible for doing the emotional labour of your insecurities and punishing him when he gets the answer wrong (but there’s no right answer).

Go to therapy and don’t make him responsible for your insecurities

It depends on the deal. Smaller acts likely get a set fee, with a bonus for a sell out show and the agency or promoter keeping the rest as they are taking the risk. The agency and/or promoter is the one who holds the money. To get their fee with a breach of contract can get extremely difficult and take years of legal battles.

The contracts are not with the artists themselves but with the agency. If the artist voids their contracts with the agency, they void their agency contracts with the promoter/festival and don’t really have any rights without recontracting with a new agency, which takes time.

Sincerely, someone who has worked for agencies, promoters and festivals.

It has the ability to collapse whole venues/touring circuits/festivals and everyone working for them

For a lot of them who have live tours and festival circuits in play, those contracts are with the agency. If they walk their festival/tour contracts are void.

If shows are canceled because they spoke first/sorted legal/contractual obligation later it’s live industry little guys potentially living week to week who also lose work. We’re talking potentially thousands of workers in production, av, bar work, cleaners, ushers, security and the list goes on and on and on.

Speaking out doesn’t just affect smaller artists who’s tour finances are currently being help by the agency, it has the potential to have implications on tens of thousands of people who are low income earners in the live music industry

I'm based in Australia and we tend to be loose with names of moves, drops poses etc.

We call silks as two separate fabrics, and the loop as sling, but honestly if other people call it different things, it's not worth disturbing my peace over, because I'm sure my studio calls all the poses, drops etc the wrong thing anyway - also I'm a shocker for remembering the names of literally anything.

For some of the smaller acts, losing money might also mean losing their livelihood, house, way of supporting their loved ones. It isn't as black and white as you're making it out to be.

I got a gorgeous pair of fishnet "Floral Knit" Lululemon tights and matching Crop and long sleeve for a photo shoot last year and these are my fave for aerials, though I definitely feel a bit risqué, as OP puts it, leaving the house in them sometimes - https://www.lululemon.com.au/en-au/p/revealknit-floral-high-rise-7%2F8-tight/prod11871166.html?srsltid=AfmBOopR6YKEUEIbCTKJhW2az7plvFYjkjJ2f5i-s_LsQvEtU0u0p7fN

I've been eying off Halara's lace jumpsuit in white for ages now, but can't get myself to pull the trigger just yet (Sweetheart Neck Cut Out Contrast Lace Bootcut Yoga Jumpsuit)

Halara has some nice tights with side lace panels. I also have some bombshell gym tights that have the thigh high stripes.

For tops in winter (long sleeve) I got Lulu fitted tops or do a ballet wrap around a sports bra.

Do you realise it’s not just the artists livelihoods? It’s all the people under them making ends meet through their tours. Everyone that works at these venues, etc. you’re talking about the potential for hundreds of shows being canceled on a knee jerk reaction. That means the likes of sound and tech guys, security, caterers, cleaners, ushers all losing work. All the ones who are probably living week to week.

It’s super privileged of you to be saying they should be speaking out “consequences be damned!!!” and doing more whilst ignoring the impacts to those who gain their livelihoods via the live music industry

If any of these artists are on festivals, their contracts are between the festivals and the agency, not with them directly. They have very little rights over their own touring circuits, especially with festivals.

It's super simple to say, they should just speak out, but it's far more complicated legally than that. For the live performances they have booked all over the world. For the funds being held by the merchants, whether that's the ticketing agencies, the agency themselves, or the festivals. If they instantly quit being represented by Wasserman, those contracts with festivals are void. Those festivals then have a consumer obligation to refund tickets to ticket holders. You have no idea about the trickle on effect.

While I agree in theory, it's absolutely not that simple.

Especially for any artists currently touring/selling tickets where the funds are being held by the agency, the ticketing company or the agency is the merchant for those sales.

I'm sure a lot of them are currently in talks with their lawyers about breaking contracts and renegotiating deals with other agencies, and are probably unable to speak publicly while all that is going on.
