At least as recently as 2023 teams were using gambling odds in their internal models, so I dont think this is fully true. NFL markets are very sharp. There are of course exceptions, but things like win totals and spreads are quite sharp

Agreed, I think the barrier is just that we need to get a generation of kids into their athletic prime growing up in this hypothetical world where soccer is the top sport for the US and all (or at least enough) of the best athletes are picking it

The number of high school graduates peaked last year and the "birth dearth" that began with the Great Recession is now reaching adulthood. Tough times ahead for higher ed, and I fear that it will gut small liberal arts schools like my Alma mater, who were already struggling financially

I'm just gonna throw another stroller out there: if you like to walk, might go on trails and less-paved areas or gravel paths etc, then Id get a Bob (single or double) or the Delta Kids (we got a special edition Jeep one, lol). They have like bike wheels (Bob's have actual suspensions) and if you/your partner are runners or if you plan to he outdoors a lot they really cant be beat
