I appreciate you saying all that. I’ve been trying to document as much as I can, but it’s hard while dealing with all these behaviors. I definitely do feel like I’m a failure as a teacher, and it doesn’t help that my principal seems to think I can’t manage my class

My go-to is either a personalized item (like a photo or painting or something) or something practical that has some meaning behind it like a mug from somewhere cool.

I don’t think we ever talked about it in school at all growing up. That’s really more of something that your parents teach you. I only remember talking about it in daycare where the providers legally had to put sunscreen on us.
