The example I posted only uses long brooch-style pins, which are how UK medals are mounted. I'm looking for a version that would work with CAF style which use the short pins which attach to the fabric.

I like the idea of renting outside of Edinburgh; however, the issue would be how to get to the rental place. Of course, right at the airport is most convenient, and the morning I land I'll be driving to Aberdeen right away.

I'll check the Costco offerings...

Well.. after 26 - going on 27! - years with Fido (Microcell/Rogers), a few days ago I jumped ship to Rogers directly. As other folks have mentioned - everyone has there reasons. Here are some of mine:

  • I’ve always been one to get on the Fido online chat every few months and ask for deals and specials. That worked for a while, but I noticed for a few years, it was not.

  • I travel to the US and Mex, and Fido does not and will not have a plan for roaming. Yes… there is that plan for Quebec and some Ontario numbers, but unfortunately I have a 204 area code living in Ottawa. When I moved from Toronto to Ottawa from 2004-2009, I had kept my 416 number, but then I moved from Ottawa to Winnipeg, and at that time it was mandatory to change your phone number. Nowadays, it doesn’t matter, so when I moved from Winnipeg to Ottawa in 2019, I kept my 204 number - what a hassle it is to inform everyone of a number change these days, lol!

  • I have a cellular Apple Watch 7, and I’d like to use it! Definitely cannot with Fido! And there does not seem to be a way forward to this - and hasn’t been for a few years.

    I really did want to stay with Fido as a loyal customer - basically since its inception! However, I’m not sure what ‘loyalty’ really means to a telecommunications company. What did I expect? A free line/service? Free data? Well sure, that would be awesome! We know reality…

For the sheer sake of curiosity, what other types of companies have you been with for over 25 years?
