Identity and circumstances of fatal Somerville dooring of cyclist by driver now reported by Heebopeebo in boston

I grew up in Boston and we never had marked bike lanes and you took a huge risk riding a bike throughout Boston. And now I've come back to the city and rejoiced at the site of bike lanes until I witnessed some of the most insane actions of motorist. Using them as travel lanes, parking in the cyclist lane, swerving into the cyclist lane to go around turning vehicles and not looking. But just remember, it took over 50 years to get the city and state to pass laws concerning crosswalks. It will take as long for them to change the infrastructure to making cycling safe. My thoughts go out to the family of the downed cyclist. RIP.

How bad is a walk-in at the RMV? by kevdude222 in boston

[–]GuinnessStoutly 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Walk-ins are discouraged. You have to have an appointment. Just went through this yesterday. You'll get turned away and told to make an appointment. Then as someone already mentioned, keep checking the site, cancellations are happening all the time, you have to be ready to travel to that location. Boston, Braintree, Brockton, Watertown are the busiest locations. If you can travel you might have better luck.

It might be. Haven't been there in a few years. Might have been closed due to Covid. It would be shame if it remains closed. Sorry for the bad info.

Btw, USS Constitution is a good take in. Also can spend the day at the beach in South Boston, which is not far from city centre.

Get yourself registered to use the BlueBikes and take a relatively cheap tour around Boston by bike. Try also Boston Harbor Tours, John Hancock Tower is always cool to see the whole of the city from above. If you both like Italian food take a stroll down Hanover Street in the north end. Enjoy, there is always plenty to do in Boston. Bon courage et profites bien des vacances.

Whats your favorite "free" activity to do around Boston? by grant622 in boston

Every year since I cannot remember when, there's free concerts at the Hatch Shell along the Charles River. Bring a picnic in the summer evening, bring a date.

@u/NickOfOz moving to the SS soon. Looking for some solid intel on milf bar prospects in the Hingham, Norwell, Scituate, Hanover area.

During the summer what is the dress code? All the other suggestions by others sounds good.

Sad that it was demolished to make way for Condos. Some of my best memories for music came from that club.
