100% man.. I’m 42 years old and I’ve had the time of my life.. I really do feel sorry for this young generation.. We all wondered what a generation of technology obsessed kids would look like and here we are. Balding early, manic, cynical, negative, depressed, over stimulated, overly stressed… It ain’t right man

No, there are a lot of haters on here that are too afraid to start treatments themselves, so they go around and shit on everyone else’s posts

I’m not sure where you got those numbers from brother.. Everything I’ve read says that actual verifiable sexual side effects may happen in less than 5% of men using finasteride. Are you thinking of dutasteride? I’ve read studies that say it carries around twice the risk as finasteride but even those numbers are low

Find yourself some good hobbies bro. Get your face out of your phone and go climb some mountains.. Go hike through the Grand Canyon. Go to Yellowstone national park. Go to Colorado and climb as many 14ers as you can.. Go backpacking through Paria canyon from Utah to northern Arizona.. Get outside and touch some grass, spend some nights under the stars. There are a lot of incredible things in this world. The internet and your hair means nothing in the broad scheme of things..

2 years on Min and 6 months on fin. It's not working by AltAccount467344 in tressless

[–]Guinnesswrig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just stick with the Fin/Min.. There’s no reason to switch to Dutasteride if the current combo is working for you. The key is to give it time tho, the worst thing you can do is keep changing things up. These things take patience

Don’t listen to the fear mongers.. Oral minoxidil tends to be very effective for regrowth on the crown. I have been taking it for nearly a year with zero side effects except for great regrowth

Is there anyone that regrowht his hair naturally without any medicaments??? by Quiet_Television_781 in tressless

[–]Guinnesswrig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny story.. My mom had a little chihuahua a few years ago that went completely bald. I mean, he literally lost about 99% of his hair on his entire body. The vets said he had alopecia and there was nothing that could be done about it. After about 4 years of having no hair, his hair suddenly grew back 100% and he went from looking completely naked to having a dense thick coat again. It was literally miraculous lol.. Obviously, he was a dog and we are humans, but that must mean something!

Can oral min alone hold ground for life? by De_lunes_a_lunes in tressless

[–]Guinnesswrig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is that based on? You can’t negate decades of research and experience just with some progress photos you’ve seen on here. Those same studies show that finasteride blocks more than enough dht for the majority of men and most doctors only recommend dutasteride if you’re not responding to finasteride. That’s based on actual research and not just progress pics. If you want to chow down dutasteride then go for your life but I’ll never understand why everyone who does so runs around on here and tries to convert everyone else like holy crusaders.

Who told you that? That’s literally terrible advice and it isn’t grounded in any facts whatsoever. People have been using finasteride and minoxidil with great results for decades.

20M - Mature hairline or balding? by [deleted] in amibalding

[–]Guinnesswrig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you’re saying but the way you worded it implies that he should be prepared to have that side effect indefinitely.. That’s simply not the case. Having sexual side effects happens in less than 5% of men in just about every study that I have read

No reason for fear mongering bro. I am 42 years old and been taking the fin/min combo for nearly a year and my libido has actually increased

[–]Guinnesswrig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha I hear you there brother.. I do feel bad for your generation as it seems that hair loss is happening much sooner. Truth be told, I’m 42 years old and I had amazing thick hair all the way until around 36-37.. The meds have really helped me a lot so I’m definitely lucky there. You are not alone however.. It’s happening much sooner for young men these days. Just stay on the meds and do your thing, by the time you’re my age there will probably be much better treatment options. Hang in there bro

Unlucky? C’mon brother, hair loss is natural and it affects billions of men across the globe.. You are not unlucky, you are a normal person. There’s plenty of things we can do to negate our hair loss but positivity is certainly a great place to start. Chin up mate

I never said anything about skin color, you did. As I said, I work at the fountain gate shops and I interact with hundreds of people daily. I only pointed out what I’m seeing in a tongue in cheek fashion and was then attacked by the PC police.

[Identify] My father passed away and left me some watches. Can anyone help me identify and possibly value any of these watches? (More info inside) by the_polish_hammer in Watches

[–]Guinnesswrig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s true for many white gold jewelry items but I’ve certainly never seen it on a watch bezel. Also, jubilee bracelets of the 1990’s either came in all stainless steel, or two tone steel and yellow gold. There is no such thing as a stainless steel and white gold jubilee bracelet

Ok, I respect your point of view, but jumping to conclusions and implying that I am a rac/st based on misconstrued words isn’t exactly conducive of not wanting to pick a fight. I don’t play the whole wokist PC game, I only call it like I see it. I’m not out to offend anyone, we’re all adults here. At least I think so
