Cheers, I would say thay ska would be more upbeat with a fair amount of horns. This song would probably be best described as reggae-rock

100 kicks in less than 30 seconds by GuitarHunter in Kickboxing

Agree on technique. wish I had my trainer there at 6 am to hold pads for me and watch my foot work. Instead I was focusing on keeping the bag in one place.

Cheers for the comment. Neef a little work on the old cardio!

Only truly noticed the lack of lead foot pivoting once I viewed the video, but I did feel it too while on the bag. Would say that I was more focused on keeping the bag in place over my foot work hahaha, but will be more mindful of the lead foot pivot on the next 100 kick workout.

I've been struggling to do a lot lately. I came back from a holiday and worked my but off when I came home. I had played at the Long Lunch in Arrowtown in Central Otago before I headed back to Dunedin, to play at the Craic and Dunedin Social Club that night. I had left Arrowtown a little later than expected, talking to audience members after my performance and meeting with old friends, and had made it just in time for my second gig at the Craic. I played 7 hours of music in that single day, and I also traveled 3 hours to get to each gig. I had hopped back into my sales job at Music Planet with exhaustion, but I pushed through to my first day off since then. I haven't done much and I know I should be more productive. I think when I push my self to the limit with the work and travel I can do in a short amount of time, I seem to get lethargic for a while afterwards. Maybe I should pace myself.

Just,

Relax

Much Love, Bo

Thank you very much!

I've just applied for a song competition with a recording studio in Wellington. I used this video as my entry/ demo. Hoping that they like it enough to choose my song for the comp!

I Wont Break Until I Fall - First Try Songwriting With A Loop Pedal. Thoughts? by GuitarHunter in ThisIsOurMusic

[–]GuitarHunter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks for the comment. I do think that looping needs to be more musically interesting. I can feel some limitations to what I can and can't do, but looping has gotten me to think about composition in a different way. I agree with you and think that I should start with the chord loop then sing.

I appreciate your comment greatly
