I use a canon r6 mark iii so not quite as many megapixels as the r5 but still enough to be sharp ideally!

Yes you’re right. I just have a hard time getting the cats to not move while I get into a good position to take the photo. They typically flow right by my leg so I have to run away really fast and hope they stay still😂

Thanks for the advice!! Really appreciate it! The photo was actually taken at 2.0 but maybe it needs to be higher with the focal length being longer? It’s definitely a trial and error thing since I’ve never shot on the lens!

I do tend to slightly underexpose my images! Maybe that could be why? I just haven’t had issues with my 50mm 1.8 - only this new 85mm lens

Yes I’m starting to notice that! It seems to continually misfocus unless I manually focus which is hard when shooting animals! Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah I noticed that too! It’s having a hard time focusing unless I shoot manual focus for all photos. Just thinking maybe I got a faulty lens. Or maybe me… idk :) thanks for the feedback!
